:coffee:... Welcome to the wonderful month of JULY. Normally I would post something like this 'Happy 4th of July '. But I wanted to make you enjoy your Day.
So have a Safe time and enjoy the holiday weekend.
Oh yeah, don't start any fires

The temperatures in Indiana are going to be hotter this season. Just because of the lack of rain.
They say we are short about 6" for the year. All I know is that the bugs are biting. The corn and beans are growing.

High of 94°F Friday and chance of Rain Showers for the day. Low of 75°F.

Stay Healthy. ......

Happy Canada Day and July 1st! The desert S.W. will get to 106 today the low overnight will be 87. Our humidity is at 26% and the wind is 3 MPH. Perfect day for hanging around (in) the pool. :2thumbs: The light rain forecast for last evening didn't happen. :( I looked at the monthly forecast for July. It shows average highs about 108 and average nightly lows about 83. There is no rain in the forecast. Stay safe..... Jim

Cloudy with a medium chance of showers here where I am in the Adelaide Hills outside Mt Barker, South Oz; with a max temp of 9°C forecast for today, Saturday 2 July... but it's already 15:00 (mid arvo) here & the temp's barely made it up to 5°C (& feels like it's only 2°C!! :p ) so I don't think it's going to get too much higher, if at all! My ryde this morning was a bit brisk, but I'm glad I did it then, the bad weather looks to be closing in rapidly from the ESE, and it certainly feels colder now, even just standing outside!

Only a couple of thousand kms or so further East from here, the entire East Coast & North East of Oz is buttoning down in preparation for the more than half a metre of rain they've got forecast over the next few days, with all the major dams already at 97/98% full & a multi-day 'flooding rain' event predicted across a 3000+ km stretch of the East Coast & adjacent inland between now & the middle of next week! . The most intense rainfall from the developing system is expected along the Central & Southern Coast & Ranges of NSW.... exactly where we are planning on heading next month to catch up with my brother & family for the first time in ages, then moving on to a biiig family get-together with the Child Bride's family, after being forced to cancel a similar trip about 6 months back due to floods & storms! . In addition to all the coming rain & flood warnings, they're forecasting a month or more of damaging winds & surf right along the coastal fringe (where all the best ryding roads are :p ) so I hope everyone over that way stays dry & the damage isn't too great! . I'd really hate to hafta reschedule again!! :opps:

84 and afternoon thunderstorms. Never going to complain about that as long as the white stuff doesn’t come with it.

Sunday 7/03/22

:coffee:...Yesterday was a hot and humid day, no rain.
Currently 75°F with clouds.
The Weather People are saying no rain in our weather.
I hope they are wrong because the yard is turning brown.

High 92°F with sunshine low of 76°F.
I know that it is summer time, but I need some rain.

Stay Healthy. ......

Enjoy some time with your family and friends. :bbq:

Happy 4th to you too. Off to see parades in Belle Fourche and Spearfish this morning, the a cruise to Beulah WY.

Just got back from a week RV stay in southern NH. Weather was perfect in the woods, 70 s with low humidity during the day. Only a touch of rain. We're happy.

Happy 4th of July. Hot in the 90's. More to come in the days ahead.

Another cat story: :gaah: Pookie (another feral cat) who comes around our house a lot decided to have her kittens today. Of course she had to go in the garage for the first one. We are up to three and counting.

Junebug and her three were taking in the show and Junebug seemed to be giving Pookie friendly advice. :dontknow:

Happy 4th!!!! Last evening our community had a golf cart parade. 40 or 50 decorated, horn honking, candy throwing golf carts with a bunch of wrinkly, old, grey haired, folks acting crazy. I was one of them. There were lots and lots of front porch gatherings cheering us on. Most seemed to be enjoying their own cheer too. Today it will get to 102 which is bit below normal for us. The humidity is 18% and the wind is at 4 MPH. There is a slight chance for light rain this evening around 8pm. I have learned to not count on that happening. Put my BBQ ribs, seasoned and tightly wrapped in foil, in the BBQ a couple hours ago. They are on a very SLOW cook. Temperature inside my BBQ is about 175 and IT'S NOT LIT. I'll light it up and bring the temperature up to 250 for a couple hours before unwrapping them and finishing them off with a quick high temperature searing. YUMMY!!! Stay safe..... Jim

:coffee:... Well another 4th has come and gone, currently 75°F. We have a 'heat advisory' today.
That's when we older folks who understand, know we need AC.
The weather people have it scheduled for 1pm - 9pm. Gotta love it, the second most active time of the day. Oh well that's life and I will try and check on a few friends.

Going up to 93°F with a heat index of up to 107°F. The humidity is the real problem. Low of 73°F.

Stay Healthy. ....

The overnight "lows" will only get down to 90!!! Needless to say, the big boy cover will stay on the trike. It is POOL TIME. Stay safe..... Jim

Thursday 7/07/22

:coffee:...Going to be a little less hot today, currently 75°F.
Yesterday's rain was very light and lasted for almost 5 minutes. Then 15 minutes later you could not tell it had even rained. The grass is a beautiful shade of brown. ...:shemademe_smilie:

I will not be cutting any more grass for a while. We have large cracks in the yard.

High of 83°F with some clouds and maybe a little rain.
Low around 70°F.

Stay Healthy. ....

Friday 7/08/22

:coffee:....Well yesterday's chance of Rain was a real bust.
Just got about a 5 minute slow shower around 3pm.
The driveway was wet and 30 minutes later the sun came out and dried up the rain. The rest of the Day was hot and humid here in Indiana.

Today we have an all day rain scheduled. Time will tell about the next rain showers.
High today 83°F with rain showers. Low of 73°F.

Stay Healthy. ......

Good news here in the desert S.W. The air quality is "good". The pollen and ozone issues we have had all spring have gone away, for now. And they lowered the forecast high of 111 down to 110. At 10:15am it was already 100. The wind is at 4 MPH and humidity at 15%. A few whisps of thin white clouds in the distance. There is an excessive heat warning in effect for the next few days. I've lived in the desert year around for many years and temperatures up to 105 or so don't seem to bother me much. But above that it gets uncomfortable. Stay safe..... Jim
