Cloudy with a medium chance of showers here where I am in the Adelaide Hills outside Mt Barker, South Oz; with a max temp of 9°C forecast for today, Saturday 2 July... but it's already 15:00 (mid arvo) here & the temp's barely made it up to 5°C (& feels like it's only 2°C!!

) so I don't think it's going to get too much higher, if at all! My ryde this morning was a bit brisk, but I'm glad I did it then, the bad weather looks to be closing in rapidly from the ESE, and it certainly feels colder now, even just
standing outside!
Only a couple of thousand kms or so further East from here, the entire East Coast & North East of Oz is buttoning down in preparation for the more than half a metre of rain they've got forecast over the next few days, with all the major dams already at 97/98% full & a multi-day 'flooding rain' event predicted across a 3000+ km stretch of the East Coast & adjacent inland between now & the middle of next week! . The most intense rainfall from the developing system is expected along the Central & Southern Coast & Ranges of NSW.... exactly where we are planning on heading next month to catch up with my brother & family for the first time in ages, then moving on to a biiig family get-together with the Child Bride's family, after being forced to cancel a similar trip about 6 months back due to floods & storms!

. In addition to all the coming rain & flood warnings, they're forecasting a month or more of damaging winds & surf right along the coastal fringe (where all the best ryding roads are

) so I hope everyone over that way stays dry & the damage isn't too great!

ray: . I'd really hate to hafta reschedule again!!
