The incessant rain is beginning to slow here in the Hills, but it's not leaving easily!!
I went outside at 4:00 (am) to a crystal-clear sky with a million stars scattered across it, shining like tiny shards of diamond, and not a cloud in sight from horizon to horizon... but the 'damaging winds' that followed the 'Gale Warning' we got, which had just blown my garage door in (blew it right outta its tracks! :cus: ) were also blowing in some fairly solid rain from somewhere far away! And each drop felt bloody cold and just as sharp as those diamonds in the sky! :yikes:
The forecasters are still telling us we should still expect rain for the next week or so, along with more of those damaging winds; but at least the temps are gradually climbing outta the single digits and heading for the high teens/low 20's (°C). All the fruit trees are budding, some are even flowering; and the vege seedlings that normally don't start doing their thing for another four weeks or so are already growing madly - I just hope we don't get any more hard frosts &/or icy blasts straight off the Antarctic Ice Caps!
