Got home to the desert today to 113 degrees! The forecast is for a few sprinkles late tonight. I enjoyed my 26 day road trip out of this oven called Arizona. It's going to take me a few days to get re-acclimated to the heat. I haven't had the need to pay much attention to staying hydrated while on my road trip. That has now changed. Ice water with a squirt of lemon is my friend and constant companion. Stay safe..... Jim

P.S. I just walked outside and it was like walking into a sauna. Thankfully Mr. AC is on the job.

We got over an inch of rain yesterday afternoon, and another T-storm just passed through. Heavy rain and wind. Brought down a couple of limbs out front, so I have some work to do in the morning. Temp dropped from the upper 80's to 70 though.

Here in Vermont, we had an unsettled weekend, the weather will be turning more active to start the new work week on Monday. A cold front will be coming through from West to East during the afternoon, kicking up showers & thunderstorms. Some of the thunderstorms could be on the stronger side with locally heavy downpours.

After the cold front moves off to the east, skies will start to clear out for Monday night and into Tuesday. That cold front will also be pushing out the recent warm, muggy air. It will be turning much cooler, and less humid starting Tuesday.

But an upper air disturbance will start to drift in later in the day with scattered showers, and that will stick around through Wednesday, and possibly a bit into Thursday.

Then we will finally dry out to and start to warm up again by the end of week, and into the weekend.

The current temp is 69 degrees, mostly cloudy.

Currently it's 110 here in the desert. There is little to no breeze. I can see a couple big thunder clouds off in the far distance, but no rain expected to get into the valley. The overnight low will be 88 degrees. It's too hot to do anything outside. Even in the very early mornings the suns heat is scorching. Stay safe..... Jim

The ongoing excessive heat warnings should end after today's 110 degree day here in the desert. Temperatures for the next 10 days shouldn't be much above 105. The overnight lows look to be in the low 80s. I know those temperatures are hot but there is a very big difference between 110/90 and 105/83. Looks like we're at the beginning of summer weather winding down. Looking forward to screen door days. Stay safe..... Jim

Starting to get some real heat in my local area. This week is going to be full of 90°F plus.
Kind of the last blast of Summer. This is near normal for us in Indiana, but most of us just forget. Including good ole me.

Currently we have clear sky and 70°F. I will need to get out early and enjoy. The grass is turning brown and has stopped growing. I should cut it, but it's not worth the effort.

Today's high at 91°F. Lots of good sunshine.
Low at 71°F and no rain.
Be Healthy and Happy.

Till Next Time. ....
