Sunday 7/17 @ 11:11 am

The weather here in VT. is sunny( no clouds in the sky), the temps in the 90's and the humidity levels will be high..

Tomorrow, we will get some rain( our drought level is moderate) the rain we get tomorrow will be a soaking rain, which we desperately need. Wednesday will be the Hottest day of the week.

They are forecasting another low pressure system at the end of the work week, we will get an other round of storms with on going humidity. The weather will be quieter at the end of work week.

Today's temp is 76 degrees.

I am not complaining!

Yesterday's high/low in the desert S.W. was 113/89. Today will be about the same. We're still under and extreme heat alert. The Valley of the Sun is about 60 miles in diameter, surrounded by higher elevations and mountains. In the evenings this time of year monsoon storms come in and are prevalent in those higher elevations. I can sit on the front porch and watch the lightning storms in the distance. Very cool. Once in a while a monsoon storm will make it into the valley. But they almost always stay on the outskirts. Stay safe..... Jim

Update edit: At last! We are now having a good downpour. At 8PM it sounds like a hose is being sprayed on my windows. Looks like it will last only about 10 minutes, but it IS wet!

:ohyea:...I checked my rain gage and it was .6-tenths of rain in my local area. Sooooooo we still need more rain and got a little bit early this morning. I actually went outside and let the rain get me wet. It was a very wonderful feeling. ......

High today of 84°F with some clouds and very humid. Low of 68°F.
The corn and beans are loving the much needed rain. You could almost see them growing taller by the hour. Well it sure seems like it.

Stay Healthy. ....

At the moment, a brief respite from the 100's. A t-storm started about 9:00 last evening. It came with intermittent rain. Not enough for a good soaking, but it helped the lawn a bit. This AM, 75 degrees, cloudy, and a nice breeze blowing. A nice morning for a cup of coffee on the front porch, cat company (7 at one time today), and the enjoyable breeze. Last evening, 100 on the thermometer, felt like 105, and so hot and humid the air smelled like someone had turned on an iron to do the shirts.

More 100's to come this week.

Large solar flare released last Friday began impacting Earth directly earlier today. Auroras visible (more-so than usual) in Canada and northern US.
Expect possible outages to GPS, cellular, transit signaling systems and power grids, particularly on the night-side of the planet.
Happy riding!

HI, The temps here in Vt. are in the 80's and very high humidity ( this is the first day).

Tomorrow will be the hottest day of the week, the temps in the 90's to near 100 ( very high humidity).

No riding for me due to high temps. This is very unusual for us in VT. ( but I guess this is Global warming!) ( off topic last winter, we only rode our sleds in the month of February, then sled season ended, I hope this winter we get to ride our sleds more).

I had the A/C on in the car today, when I was dong errands.

Everyone stay healthy and hydrated!

Here in VT. we have been in a 6 day heat wave( from July 19th to July 24th) with very high humidity.

Last night/ early this morning we had a thunder storm. The thunder storm brought the humidity down, and the heat level down.

The start of the work week will have some rough weather as line of showers and thunderstorms move thru from NW to SE. The down pours and the strong wind gusts, frequent lighting and small hail as the cold front moves thru. which is responsible for the active weather moves eastward & southward. Then the skies will start to clear as we get later in the morning. We will get a cooler a less humid air mass moves in. We will notice a difference it the humidity by this afternoon.

It will be a finally be a good night for sleeping now that the 6 day-long heat wave is come to an end.

Tuesday and Wednesday the weather will have normal temps. A frontal system coming through on Thursday will touch of a few showers & t-storms.

The temps will be in the 80's!

I am not complaining.

For the last month or two I've been commenting about the lack of cooling monsoon weather here in the desert S.W. On Friday I am leaving the desert on the trike for a 3-week tour of the Western U.S. So, of course, what happens but the monsoons arrive!!! The highs for the next few days will be in the mid 90s. Lots of moisture in the air. Humidity is near 60% and the wind is a calm 3MPH. Stepped outside this morning and the air felt thick with moisture. Something we're not use to in the desert. The forecast for Friday morning when I will be leaving is for RAIN!!! Oh well, at least I don't need to stop along the roadside to put my rain gear on. I can do it in the comfort of my own home. The only "good" thing is it looks like I will be riding out of the rain in 3-4 hours as I travel north. I have a small travel computer that I am not yet familiar with. Will try to check in here from time-to-time while on the road. Stay safe..... Jim

Temps reached 98 today. Six o-clock or so, clouds and t-storms moved into the area. Temps dropped 20 degrees and we had one t-storm that lasted about five minutes. Have had an occasional soaking rain pass through lasting up to ten minutes or so.

Supposed to be cooler each day until Saturday. 77 is predicted. The next three days are showing rain and t-storms. We will see how much we get. :dontknow:

Thursday 7/28/22

....First the Good News. I am still doing well with my health. Thanks for your prayers. God is so Good all the Time.

Currently 71°F with clouds. Yesterday we received about an inch and a half of rain. Hopefully this will help everyone out. They say we are still short overall. I will give thanks for what we received.

High of 85°F with some clouds, low of 64°F. Maybe get a little rain this evening.

Stay Healthy. ....
