Today we took a ride to Moon Lake, about 45 miles away. Jane's last ride before we sell her bike.

We live at 6500ft and the highest point was 9500ft. The sky was clear and blue. Temps ranged from 82 to 98, depending mostly on elevation. Very low humidity and high fire danger.

Weekend Weather 7/09/22

:coffee:...Good Morning and Welcome to the WEEKEND, currently 69°F.
I am sitting outside on the porch and looking up at the stars. I have enjoyed early morning star gazing for several years now. Sometimes I feel like I'm going to the moon. I have thought about space travel but I am not sure about going to the moon. So I will just be looking up into the heavens for now.

Yesterday's rain was good and lasted for almost 4 hours. We received about an inch of rain. It was the first real rain in about 2 months. Everything was going into the dormant stage of life. The grass was very brown and the soil was very dry and had large sections were there were cracks.

Today's high will be only 82°F with sunshine, low of 56°F.
Maybe get a little rain shower in the afternoon.

Sunday's high is 84°F, with some clouds, low of 64°F.
Ryde when you can and be Safe.

Stay Healthy. .....

It has been raining today, but at 4:52 pm it's 72 degrees and cloudy here in Derby City KY. :helpsmilie:

The desert S.W. will get to 112 today. The humidity is 24% and the "wind" is at 2 MPH with gusts to 4 MPH. It's flat out HOT out there. This is the kind of day to stay either in the pool or airconditioned house. Outside activities should be minimal. But, there are idiots among us. One of them was med-evacuated in critical condition from a hiking trail yesterday. In spite of all the warnings, there are some who think they can beat mother nature and the heat. They can't. Stay safe..... Jim

Monday 7/11/22

:ohyea:...I hope you had a good Weekend, I sure did. Two beautiful days and lots of blue sky, made for Spyder Ryde Times. I usually ryde in the early morning for my comfort level, currently 63°F.

Today is going to be 91°F with sunshine, low of 68°F.
Enjoy your Day and Ryde if you are able.

Stay Healthy. ....

Way hot here. We are under a "Heat Dome". During June & July we have had 29 days of triple digit temperatures, shattering records set in the 1800's. This past Saturday & Sunday were 113 & 114, respectively. No rain to speak of, and no end in sight for the heat. Makes for uncomfortable riding.

Tuesday 7/12/22

:gaah:....Still waiting on some rain, currently 75°F. No rain in the forecast, maybe this Saturday. Had some high winds yesterday and it damaged several of my trees. There were six large branches that came down. Luckily no damage to the house.

Today 84°F with some clouds, low of 64°F.

Stay Healthy. ....

Yesterday we hit 115 degrees for the first time this season in the desert S.W. Last night's low was 92. Today we expect 110 for a high. The humidity is 19% and the wind is 2 MPH. There are no clouds. Our community pool is closed for the next 3 weeks for deck replacement. :gaah::gaah::gaah:. We can use a neighboring communities pool on a reciprocal basis. Their pool was closed for a few weeks last month and we welcomed them to ours. It's about a mile golf cart drive to their pool and even that short distance is uncomfortable in this heat. But I may give it a go a little later today. Stay safe..... Jim

Wednesday 7/13/22

:ohyea:...It's Wednesday and you know what that means, currently 68°F. Yesterday was a Blue Sky Day and today we will have the same. So if you are able, go ahead and ryde your Spyder and enjoy yourself.

I will get out early before the heat of the day for my Spyder Time. Watch out for the 'cagers' that see only their 'cell phones'. Also the 'ones' who are always running a little bit late for work.

Today it's 84°F with lots of sunshine, low 62°F.
No rain in the forecast.
Lots of brown grass everywhere.

Stay Healthy. ....

:coffee:...Welcome back to a great day of Summer. Currently 62°F with blue sky. I was able to get out on my Spyder yesterday and just enjoyed the time. My wife decided to go with me and had a good time. She does not enjoy the ryding as much as I do. .....:shemademe_smilie:

High of 84°F with sunshine, low of 62°F.
Excellent morning ryde time temperatures.
Gotta love it, I sure do.

Indiana heat has been very helpful for the Farmers corn and beans. You can almost see it growing. Most of the corn is 4' tall or more.

Today we will see a high of 110 here in the desert S.W. Humidity is at 24% and wind at 4 MPH. There is a pretty good chance for light rain showers this evening. Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day but we had some wind and dust kick up late in the afternoon. By the time the sun went down I could see lots of lightning mainly to the west. Some parts of the valley were getting some pretty heavy rain. I was awakened about 2AM to the sound of thunder and rain. Good sounds. Hoping for a repeat tonight. Stay safe..... Jim

7/15/2022 friday

....Yesterday was a beautiful sunshine day and more. Still waiting for some rain, none so far. Going on 10 days since we had rain. Grass is really brown and the ground has large cracks.

Did not have the chance to Ryde yesterday.
The wife's projects are getting ahead of me.
"A Happy Wife is a Happy Life."
Hard to believe that this month is almost half gone.

Today 82°F with sunshine, low of 62°F.
Please get out there and Ryde if you're able.

Stay Healthy. ....

Hot, hot, hot. Coming up with some 100 plus days in the next week. No rain. We went out for a two hour drive a couple days ago. Came back exhausted. Used to be fun. :dontknow:

The desert S.W. is still under an excessive heat warning. Today will be 110+ and the weekend is forecast to be even warmer. Lows at night are right at 90. The humidity is 29% and the wind is 6 MPH. Too hot to do anything. Stay safe..... Jim

Here in Vt. as of Sat. 7/16/2022 the temps are going to be hot and humid. The hot and humid weather will continue into next week.

I am not complaining!

No sunshine in the Adelaide Hills of South Oz over the past week - temps juuust above 0° C with winds blowing straight off the Antarctic Ice Pack dragging down the 'Feels Like' temp into well sub-zero territory; half me vegie garden's succumbed to the frost; and the almost bloody constant rain has been more'n enough for this part of the country; waaay too much for most of the Eastern Seaboard, and nowhere near enough for a lot of the rest of the Country! :opps: It's even been putting the kybosh on my daily rydes!! :gaah:
