• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Not Spyder... But its the law

I travel a little section of I-80 everyday, and the State Patrol double-team it to catch people who don't move over. When one has someone pulled over for speeding, there will be another one just a bit up the road to catch the guy who didn't move over or slow down. My spousal equivalent got a...

    HELP NEEDED WITH STEERING ISSUE

Scotty's right (as always!) - you need to at least talk to your dealer about it. It won't fix itself.

Here's our White GSD. She thinks she's part polar bear. We also have two cats who let us live with them.

Got the Spyder out of mothballs tonight

I've got the charger on mine - supposed to be 65 on Thursday and they put new rock on our road today (no more mud ) - so I'm taking the day off work on Thursday to ride.

    Sneak Peak: White Platinum Tri-Coat

I have a warped perception of "clean" because I live on a gravel road (currently muck road), but it sure stays alot cleaner than our black S2000. It doesn't show the dust near as bad.

    Sneak Peak: White Platinum Tri-Coat

I like those panels a lot, and waiting to see it on your Spyder. I've been thinking of painting mine to match my Acura, which is white diamond pearl, also a tri-coat. Looks very similar to yours. Or, I may end up buying a new 2010, who knows.:dontknow:

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't catch me even walking on that trail. I got a little vertigo just watching it.

thought I was dodging the DPS bullet

This has probably been said before, but it seems like people should be sure and get the second update done while it's still under warranty. It's pretty clear that the DPS problem shows up right after that second update.

motorcycle show and brp sales rep (syracuse, ny)

Doesn't surprise me. Whether he knew about it or not, it's not the sales rep's job to discuss that at a show.

    Ramp for Spydere

Best option (IMHO) is a covered trailer with a ramp door. No clearance or weight problems, plus we can camp in it.

    seat belt and airbag

I always thought a seatbelt would be good when I rode on the back of hubby's Electraglide - because I was always falling asleep. Not a problem now that I'm riding my own Spyder.

    How's your Spyder Service 2

Besides the good service we received from our home dealer, Leisure Life Sports in Omaha, Rice Honda Suzuki in Rapid City, SD, took care of my screeching brake problem on the spot when we stopped in while on vacation last September. I think there was another spyderlover who needed their help...

    Nanny Question

In my experience, it takes quite a bit for the traction control (I believe that's the part that controls rear wheel slip - when the engine cuts out) to kick in. I live on a gravel road, so my back tire slides all over the place and I've never had the traction control kick in there. The only...

How fast have you driven you Spyder and under what conditions?

I don't know exactly how fast, but it was on the track at Mid America Motorplex. After I hit the rev limiter at 91 in third gear, I shifted to fourth and saw it hit 97 but was too busy to look at the speedo after that.
