There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Sneak Peak: White Platinum Tri-Coat

I think this may actually look good as well once you are done with it. I never thought I would like a white Spyder, but after seeing one in Daytona my mind is changed just slightly.

:congrats: and I will be eagerly awaiting some more pictures.

Its white platinum like on the lincoln cars. In that office, the lighting is kind of dark...should look something like this

I love FMC's white. It is the purest white I have seen. My F-150 and the wife's Fusion are white. Other white cars look yellowish or dingy when parked next to ours.

What color are your cars, paint names? Are they "platinum white tri-coat"

Seems like there are so man shades of white. I dont think this is going to be pure pure white.

The F-150 is Oxford White & the Fusion is Platinum White. Not sure if they're tri-coat. Also not sure if they're the same color with a different name, side by side they look the same to me, they are white white.
It's probably just the lighting but the photo of your panels look to me like a Pearl White and not the photo of the Lincoln. And by Pearl White I mean the Pearl White that has multiple coats and is very expensive to do. Lots of depth with the color and look of a pearl.

Thanks.

It's funny because when I first went to the shop, they said it would be A LOT more expensive to do a pearl (multiple coats and way more paint) so I started looking at cars on the road. I really liked the fords/lincolns that were white white, but also saw some that were pearl. I sent the paint code for the white platinum tri-coat and said that's what I wanted. It does look really pearl in the pics, but I haven't even seen it yet in the sun. I'm very happy with the way it looks in the office, and I doubt it will look bad in the sunlight...

I like those panels a lot, and waiting to see it on your Spyder.
I've been thinking of painting mine to match my Acura, which is white diamond pearl, also a tri-coat. Looks very similar to yours.

Or, I may end up buying a new 2010, who knows.:dontknow:

How hard is it to keep the Acura clean?

The spyder is so small, i can wash it pretty easily, just wondering how often I'll have to wash it.

I have a warped perception of "clean" because I live on a gravel road (currently muck road), but it sure stays alot cleaner than our black S2000. It doesn't show the dust near as bad.

I've always wanted to see a black and white Spyder. With the body shape and contours, I think it would like like an orca.

My new wheels still arent done...

I'm really liking the way this color turned out. When I first got to the shop and it was sunny, it was super white. As the sun went down it got really really pearl. It seems to change depending on what color lights hit it, it just conforms to that color.:ohyea:

also got an early Bday present in the mail today.. my Bell Star, LOVE IT.
