• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Might as well put it on the tender. Looking into some 3D printed pieces also.

Got notified that the sprocket is in at my not so local Spyder mechanic. Two hour ride in cold Missouri winter. Ehhh I will wait a couple months thank you.

Put 20 psi in the front tyres, they were both out, left was 21 and right was 23 psi.
Also, lubed the frunk latch as it was a tad sticky.

Listened to some sage advice and changed my tyre pressures.
Bought a headlight restoration kit to bring my fuzzy old lens' back.

Installed a plug n play brake light flasher kit purchased from Sling Mods. Easy peasy, extra vis plus the top case light makes me feel a little safer.

F3T, tinkered with the fit and function of the left side accessory cover
after I installed a DIN connector for my heated gear and a push button switch
for my garage door opener.

BR swaybar and hardware

Finished the Baja Ron bar today in my '22 F3 Special after waiting a few days for the specific hardware to finish the job, here's the long story;
I owned a '20 Ryker rally that had jittery steering above 50mph, I had read about it and sure enough it was true. I didn't jump in to the whole bar and link change but did just the links first, a set of spyder extras links, nice enough and easy enough to swap out. What I learned however was how sloppy the original hardware was when I removed it and the original links were not simply plastic but nylon reinforced. I did the complete replacement and boom, just like that, 90% of the jitters were gone, great but the hardware was bothering me. When I had time I went back and swapped everything back to original and took a ride, yeah, jitters returned. I then carefully measured everything and planned and ordered everything that would fit snug. Frame attachment was 1/4in as was the bar end but the balls in the links were closer to 6mm and so was the hardware. To make that matter worse the shoulders didn't pass completely through the frame or bar. The first thing I did was to get the 6mm bolts with the correct shoulder and I installed them with the original links and boom, 90% jitter reduction but I wasn't satisfied. I ordered 1/4in heim joints with an adjuster and the proper shoulder length and the steering/tracking was now rock solid.

Fast forward, I now own a spyder and while the tracking had only a fraction of the jitters the ryker had, it was still there so when I decided to do the bar upgrade I knew what to do. I got the hardware and did that too but I kept the original 8mm in the upper frame but actually wrapped the bolt with aluminum tape to snug them up (yeah, there was that much play in them) and slid a thin fiber washer in there to take up some slack. Down below I got a pair of 8mm stainless 30mm shoulder bolts and used 2 thin stainless washers, this bolt takes a 6mm nylon insert nut to finish, tightened up to torque specs and took a short winter ride and wow, what a difference, awesome.

Gave it a good wash.
Those black rims look clean even when dirty.... except the rear, it is dirty as, and I'm not grubbing around on the ground to clean it!

I ordered and installed a Power Box from Can Am Spyder Accessories.
Need a decent day to try it out, too cold and snowy here presently.
Installed front fender and rear fender lights, wow way more lighting than I expected.
Also installed the Eastern Beaver 4Cs auxiliary fuse for my heated gear.

Got my Missing Belt Guard from Lamonster Garage and fitted it today. What a pain in the..... No strange noises and doesn't appear to be rubbing so hopefully, a good fit.

I bought mine last summer but haven't been brave enough to put it on. I know it's gonna be a nightmare and I'm sure my wife will hear Italian swear words that would make an Italian person blush.

Wasted my time...
I decided to rejuvenate my headlights today, turns out all the haze is on the inside of the lens. Thankfully it doesn't look to bad and doesn't appear to be down near the beam area.

I installed my F-3 Cannonball Seat ...I've been debating on buying one for awhile...and I finally decided to purchase it...it's a really nice comfortable seat..
