• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed the Canamspyderaccessories Floating Pegs yesterday morning. Really easy to install an look good. Now need to go on a good ride to see how they help with comfort of my legs.

Today installed the RT Front Grills in stainless steel. One is the RT design an the other is a Spyder design from CANAMSPYDERACCESSORIES. He was so nice to split up 2 sets so I could have one of each for my spyder.

All so installed the Dual USB charger in the empty spot in the middle of the switches below the handle bar. Switch from CANAMSPYDERACCESSORIES

And put on a Riders Drink Holder from CANAMSPYDERACCESSORIES

You have to loosen up the (2) bolts (one on each side parallel w/the channel for the L bracket) pretty far to fit the L bracket in there.

Got mine in, but I had to be a little forceful with it. When in I found the screw wouldn’t reach with both fender washer and lock washer. Used just the fender washer with some loctite on the screw.

Mounted the backrest, added the hitch ball to the hitch I mounted earlier, re-attached the wire harness using black zap straps. (The yellow ones I used (all I had when I originally installed it) were ugly against the black hitch.

Got the new Veredestein Q 5s' installed - see other post for impressions.

Also, finally traced and removed the unsightly GPS mount from the handlebars. Couldn't find Stainless cap bolts so had to use SS Button head. Now I've got a mount and cable for an unknown GPS laying around. really need to get rid of this old stuff.

Installed: - F3 mirror wedgies (from Squared Away) - F3 Trunk Organizer (from Spyderpops) - GPS Handlebar Ram mount (from Lamonster) - Hardwired & mounted Garmin LM 396 GPS unit - F3 Tall boy Windshield (from BRP)

Got the :spyder2: ready for an overnighter down 395 for about 4 hours towards Bishop, Ca. A superior bakery makes the trip a gastronomic pleasure after being cooped up for months.

I had to take advantage of the roadside assistance today.

Was ryding into town to top off the fuel tank, and got a check engine light and LIMP HOME MODE
Pulled into a nearby parking lot, and got LOW OIL - STOP ENGINE
Fault code came up P0254
Checked oil level, it was covering dipstick.

I called the nearest dealer (about 40 miles away), and they said I needed to get it in there for them to look at. So I called the roadside assistance number, and they got a towing service to pick up and drop off my Spyder (2018 RT).

When I called the service department, they said they were looking at it, and would let me know what they found out. Depending on what they tell me, I may be considering the B.E.S.T. warranty (but not from them - they want $1399 for 36 months)

Brought a new Akrapovic straight shot pipe brand new off of E-BAY for 450 bucks with free shipping about a month ago..today I installed my new RACE TECH shocks..front and rear..

Have to work from home today.
Home is vastly safer than the manufacturing office.;)
Will ride later to run some errands.

Installed new front sprocket on neighbors 2015 RT. What a bear to remove old one, lots of red dust, Had to use a lot of heat and a puller. Also installed Lamonster belt tensioner.

Installed new brake/run/turn LED lights from Spyderpops. Wanting them higher up than under seat, more in the line of sight of any vehicle following me, I chose to install them on back of passenger armrests. I am pleased with the end result.

Picking up Spyder from dealer. With the broken ankle I did not feel like crawling around it to flush brake fluid and coolant so I bit the bullet and had the dealer do it. Many dollars, will never do that again. Next job is to replace the rear brake pads and add the side marker lights to the bags.

Put on a license plate flag mount and Thin Blue Line flag. Time to represent. Police lives matter!! :2thumbs:

Worked on a friend's F3S that he recently acquired. Moved the pegs from 3 to 4. Swapped brake rods. Cut windshield down so he can see over it. Loosened handlebar clamp and lowered them. Yeah, they move up and down.
