• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

New Elka Stage 2s from Lamonster

 Received my Stage 2 Elka front shocks from Lamonster today (in just 4 days). Spent 3.5 hours on installing them on the 2014 RTL. Only 45 minutes for the right side; but took me 2 hours for the left side. Really, Really hard to get to the upper 15mm bolt head to hold while using socket on the rear facing nut!:banghead: Took a solo test ride; then test ride with wifey.
Fantastic improvement on over all ride and especially on tight (fast) turns. They were set up perfectly for my needs by Lamonster's techs. Very Pleased!! :2thumbs:

Plugged the battery tender in....gonna be a week or so before the weather straightens out again. Got everything I need to change the oil for its long winter nap too.

Installed Baker Built Wind Wings, installed the thing that holds the trunk lid open, have the new bake tire ready to put on soon, Ordered 2 new from tires from Tire Kingdom. Getting ready to ship my RT to Europe in late Feb. to ride Europe agin next summer.

Installed the Pedal Commander on my 2018 F3-T. After taking it for a test ride, the only comment I have is that it felt like when I went from my 63' VW bug to my 69' Dodge Super Bee! I'm at City+3 and the feeling in some twistys was, to say the least, exhilarating. Had thought about a ECU flash but don't need it now. Going to try Sport setting on my weekly ride this upcoming Saturday. The PC and the BajaRon anti-sway bar has turned this machine into a beast. The PC is worth every penny. Lots of adjustment to match your ride or mood.

If you think it's a beast now, wait 'til you install aftermarket performance shocks and car tires, if you are still running OEM Kendas. Woo Hoo buddy!!!

Changed the Lamonster Belt Tensioner Roller with 15k miles on it. It still looks like it could another 10k+ but I had the side panels off to swap the seat strut and I'm too lazy to do it again in a few months (year-round rider).

I tested my heated gloves with the troller.

It is in hibernation until next April! (off topic : getting the sled ready for the season).

I finally installed my pedal commander on the 2016 F3T. All I can say is WOW! It really wakes this bike up. I know it doesn't give me any more hp, but I always knew that 115 hp on a belt driven bike should feel peepier. And it definitely does. I have the cat delete pipe on mine, so there is a slight loss in off line tq., but if I ease on the bike and then slap it at about 3k rpm, it just burns the back tire at will, all the way through 2nd as well. It seems like the additional shock from full throttle overwelms the nanny and allows it to spin without being neutored as bad by the traction control. I know it is a new thing, but I am sure I will go through the remaining 1/2 tread life of my rear tire pretty quick. Then I will calm down and settle into a grove. All I can say is I am truly impressed. I will be going back and seeing if there is a way I can route the wires so my commander can be placed in the storage box on the dash, like my buddy did his 2020 RT Limited.

I rode it to Walmart to get some items, then went to a Chevron gas station and proceeded to top off the fuel tank with Sta-Bil for winter storage.

Gonna be a long winter, but can't wait for skiing and snowboarding season to begin ....

.

Prepped for the ryde tomorrow. I also am jonesing for the ski season. Lou, did you get your pass at Rose????

I didn't do anything to my spyder, it is in hibernation! It is sleeping :roflblack:

It is on a battery maintainer& waiting until for the spring riding season to start here in VT.
