• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I think she was looking at the door. She had never seen the pocket door closed before. On the other hand, she could be searching for UFOs. :roflblack:

New Members - Opinions requested (2013) (RSS vs STS/RTS)

We modified my wife's GS for touring. It is OK, but our RT is better. The biggest problem is that we sunk enough money into it to modify it that we could have bought an RT, if they had existed yet at that time. You need to look at the total cost including mods, to get a true picture...and you...

    The Log House Project

The finish carpenters cut trim to size today and routed it, for the painter to varnish next week, and they installed most of the extension jambs for the windows and doors. They also made some final door adjustments and installed the remaining interior doors except for the closet bifolds. We...

    CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

I wouldn't jump to conclusions. When you say "no codes", did you press MODE, SET, and the turn signal cancel simultaneously to pull up active fault codes, or did you just not see any warnings scroll across the screen? A lack of warnings doesn't mean there are no fault codes active. At this...

    Push to talk

Sorry, you have to get used to the VOX. That's the only way the intercom works. Remember that there are adjustments for it in your setup menu.

BUYERS BEWARE -- 2014 Spyder RT

Your issues are with those dealers. The warranty is clearly stated as being a "limited warranty", with the conditions stated. The written copy is in your owners manual.

    NEED ADVICE ON A 2012 RT-S SE5

The 2012s are good, but that seems expensive for a machine that only listed for $27K in the first place.

    Earplugs

We have used earplugs for years. Another benefit that is hard to understand is that you will actually become less fatigued during a long trip, for some unknown reason. One of the biggest benefits is that you don't take an hour to hear again normally after your ride ends. Nancy and I currently...

Help! Question on third light on trailer?

I think the easiest solution would be to add a row of LED lights at the trunk lid. If you split this into two sections, each side can also serve as a secondary turn signal, with the entire strip lighting for brake. If you want just a single brakelight added to a 4-wire system, it will take a...

my first spyderfest just got cancelled

You're only as old as you act! Turning fifty means nothing at all. There are lots of us here that will attest to that.

    The Log House Project

The Studs Are Gone The finish carpenters completed the interior wood today. They got the tongue & groove installed in the greatroom. They still have to trim the corners throughout the house. They also have to install the wood ceilings for the greatroom and our bedroom, install the stair...

Geoff, I'm all for the eye on the end of the index finger, but it might make certain necessary body maintenance functions quite awkward. roflmao :roflblack:

    Poor MPG with O2 Modifier

:agree: Nine times out of ten these things are running fat...often way fat because someone is adding fuel at the top to compensated for a pop at the bottom end, or something similar. Mid-range numbers are often horridly rich when tuned by the seat of the pants. If a little is good, more isn't...

my first spyderfest just got cancelled

Aren't budgets a horrible thing to have to contend with? Sorry to hear about your cancelled trip, but heat is more important...especially this year. There will be other Spyder events.

    I use a long-necked, narrow funnel...same type I use to add oil.
