• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Powerlet on Spyder RS?

Just purchased a Spyder RS and feel the need for some (electrical) power!

On previous bikes I've always used Powerlet fittings, but on their website they do not have any kit listed specifically for the RS.
Who's fitted Powerlet to this model, what did you use, and where did you place the outlet?
Thank you,
John K

I used an all weather marine 12v plug from the local hardware store and put it on the left side of the dash where the ventilation slits are. Rerouted the lead that was zip tied to the left shock mount meant for the trunks outlet. Works great and highly recommend it.

I used the BRP 12V plug. Mounted it in the frunk. I place a usb adapter in the plug and run a cable under the plastic up to the handle bars where I plug it in to power my iphone.

I did the same. Except I did a double adapter with 2 USB extension cables up behind the cluster.

I used the PKT-042 and mounted it in the dash. This is from Powerlet. I bought necessary cable for what I was charging.

On Nancy's I used the standard version Powerlet and installed them on the dash panel.
