• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help! Question on third light on trailer?

Have standard 4 wire trailer harness and am wanting to add third tail/brake light to my trailer for a better line of sight awareness for those "Close up buttheads". What is the device i need to add to the turn/brake signal circuit to prevent tail /brake from flashing when turn signal(s) are applied? My thinking is some sort of diode in series but, what is the market name of this device and where to purchase? Lot's of trips laid on this season. Thanks

I just put an led strip of red lights on my RT-622 trailer. Really easy to do. No diodes or anything like that are needed. The led strip has an adhesive backing, and it holds well. They have two wires, red positive, black or red/black is ground. You will most likely have to extend these wires as I did. I wired mine into the taillight assembly on the left side. You will find three wires to this assembly, Orange, White, & Black. White is the power for the brake light, & Black is the ground. The job took about an hour, even with figuring out the wiring. It really adds a lot to the trailer, the led's are very bright. I'm like you, I want to be SEEN, not HIT! If you need any more help you can PM me. Good Luck!

I think the easiest solution would be to add a row of LED lights at the trunk lid. If you split this into two sections, each side can also serve as a secondary turn signal, with the entire strip lighting for brake. If you want just a single brakelight added to a 4-wire system, it will take a little electronic wizardry.

Third Brake Light

Here is a picture of the third light, mounted just above the keyhole. Because of low picture resolution, they don't appear as bright as they really are.WP_000090.jpg
