Jen, in NJ we're to busy dodging cars to always think about waiving but I hear what you're saying. All kidding aside it's about 50/50

OK everyone staying at the BW for Spyderfest there will be a Happy Hour wave in front of the Hotel Friday night on the street starting at 5 PM or after the first drink. This will last for 15 minutes and is meant to benefit everyone who felt left out in the wave department. You will continue around the block for the full fifteen minutes and we will all wave at you for the entire fifteen minutes.
Cruzr Joe will direct the crowd and Bob Denman will count the number of waves. Any left over waves will be put in the bank to be held by Bob, Hermetically sealed, and distributed at next years Spyderfest. Be there or be Square! :joke:

It matters not whether they wave. Who cares really? If you want to wave feel free to do so. Don't expect any thing and you will never be disappointed. Don't know why you would expect everyone to wave to you anyway. Get over it! Seriously!
I have so many people wave at me it's becoming a nuisance. I'm beginning to think my Fly is open or something! :joke:
Look at it this way, if the enjoyment of your ride depends on someone waving at you, perhaps your riding for the wrong reasons. The ride is not between you and others, it's between you and what you are riding. Think about it. Get your warm fuzzy's at your destination.

Jack---your fly was openpps: Now people will think we're related :-=)

Most bikers waive to us, Harley and Goldwing crowd.. I find the sportbikers(crotch rockets) dont waive.. Maybe cause they afraid to LET GO of the handlebars?? Do we waive at the folks on there Vespa's (scooters)???
If I get waved at, I return it.. other then that I just go about my business.
As well he SHOULD have! But I enjoyed the "retraction" he posted later.... 6. To trikes and Can-Ams

I normally ride a sport bike. Before this I had a Harley. While riding the sport bike, I might not get a waive from the hard core bikers, but most still waive.
Yesterday was a nice day with lots of bikes out. I waive to everyone. If I had to estimate, maybe 10-20% waived back. My husband was on a cruiser. I asked him and nearly all waived to him. Really?!!
On my ride to NY to PA, the first bikes I came across were a pair of sport bike riders. They waved.
Since I'm used to most bikers waiving, I found this a bit disconcerting. I mean , I'll live, but why the hate?!?
What has been your experience?
Wave to young kids on bicycles: it'll make their day!
