• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I added a piece of 1/4" closed cell foam to the inside bottoms of my Canyon side bags. Hopefully that will prevent any hard item bouncing around inside them from dinging the aluminum. As a bonus they provide a thermal barrier from the exhaust. My groceries will stay fresher on the way home from the store.

I flipped a table saw over to see why it quit running, flipped between the Spyder and the big roll up door. It left a huge pile of sawdust scattered on the floor that I gotta go back out and clean up before the Spyder can back out of the shop, because the sawdust may have some dropped screws or nails mixed in with it, and that would not be beneficial to the Spyder tires. Weather Monkeys say more thunderboomers coming this afternoon anyway.

Edit - It was just the cord, probably had too many boards coming off the back side of the table saw dropped on it. Had another heavy duty cord I cut off an air compressor that had died hanging on the wall in the old shop.

That would make it simpler
I looked into adding an aux tank and even purchased one for the RT, but we decided a Canyon is in the future, so I'll save the efforts for that machine.

I have a Camel tank on my Super Adventure 1290R and it vaccumes from the main tank vent too. I've only had an issue one time where the pressure/heat/elevation in the main tank increased faster than the fuel was used and the aux tank didn't empty right away. Simply pop the main tanks cap, and restart the vacuum building process.

Oil and filter change today. I've always been a stickler for 10w40 weight oils for the Spyder, but today I opted to try something new. So, Five quarts of Amsoil 5w40 metric motorcycle synthetic oil and a Baja Ron Hiflo oil filter kit. I will send this oil off to analysis, but it will likely be a year from now. :)

Went for a ride through the country back roads around my area, saw a mama deer and her baby crossing the road, had to stop and wait for the fawn to make up it's mind,it finally took off into the woods, l love riding the backroads, l don't have keep up with anybody, and l can ride the way l want to. I had about a 3 hour ride, it was nice and sunny, and now I'm home. My baby's in the garage, and it's pouring rain; that's Wisconsin weather - if you don't like it, wait a few minutes, it'll change... 😁
