In our area we are/were experiencing somewhat the same dilemma, so had to either take what the dealer allowed as a replacement, or remove and replace your own tire, and then have whatever tire you wanted mounted elsewhere. Yes, a bit more work, but now that I have done one rear tire job, the second was much smoother, other than the yellow lock tite.My Spyder Dealer replaced the Rear Tire. But I had to agree to use 'BRP Approved Tires'.
So now I am trying to find a Bike Shop to help me out.

Luckily, we have a NEW local Cycle Shop who is also starting to work on Spyders. He is my go-to Tire guy at the moment.
