• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Not much today, except for an upcoming ride into town. Beautiful Sunny day in So. Illinois.
Last Saturday did an Oil Change and replaced my rear tire with a Vredestein Quatrac 205/65R15. Took a short ride after and was totally impressed at the handling and ride difference from the Kumho that was previously on it. Noticed acceleration was a bit zippier than previous rides.
Mounted 2 Vredesteins 165/60R15 on the front last year. Totally happy now all the way around. Come on SPRING, we're ready to roll!
What did it cost for your Rear Tire? Did you install the Tire?
Just trying to get an idea of having someone else do the job.
Thanks for your help.

Tire was bought from Tire Rack. Cost was $117.77. ($129.40 with tax ). Shipping was free.
I had the Tire mounted at the local Bike Shop, but I installed it myself.

*Just to add, if this is the first time the rear tire has been changed on your Spyder, it may be a bear to get the hub off, should you need to remove it to have the new tire mounted. The yellow locktite is "extremely" strong. This was my 2nd rear tire change experience, and it was definitely a lot more muscle grunting than the first. So, with that said, if this is your 1st tire replacement, I would definitely have a shop do the work, unless of course, you already have the tools. It took 2 of us to muscle the hub off, but we managed with a lot of grunting. Best of luck to you.

My Spyder Dealer replaced the Rear Tire. But I had to agree to use 'BRP Approved Tires'.
So now I am trying to find a Bike Shop to help me out.

Thanks for your Time.

In our area we are/were experiencing somewhat the same dilemma, so had to either take what the dealer allowed as a replacement, or remove and replace your own tire, and then have whatever tire you wanted mounted elsewhere. Yes, a bit more work, but now that I have done one rear tire job, the second was much smoother, other than the yellow lock tite.
Luckily, we have a NEW local Cycle Shop who is also starting to work on Spyders. He is my go-to Tire guy at the moment.

My dealer installed a car tire on mine, no questions asked. I carried the car tire to the dealer. Dealer removed the rear wheel from my Spyder, mounted the new tire, installed the wheel back on the Spyder, $108.

Tried to add a pic but file was too large. If anyone can tell me a different way I’d appreciate it. Thank you.

Use some image reduction software on your computer or phone. Almost all of the devices already have software that will reduce the size of images.

The forum does not care about the physical measurements of the images. The forum is only concerned with how much storage space the image takes. The limit is 1 MB = 1 megabyte = 1,000 KB = 1,000 Kilobytes - All the same thing.
Right click on an image, choose properties, and it will tell you the image dimensions and how many KB or MB the image needs for storage space.

Reduce the size of the image or reduce the resolution.

If you don't have any other way of reducing the size, there are places on the web that let you do it. You may be assaulted with advertisements using those sites, but they work.

I've never had to reduce the size of any image from any camera &/or a variety of devices before uploading them when I've used the 'Attach files' link to load Thumbnails as per the directions in the Sticky - except for when I uploaded the 'Full Image' shown in that Sticky/thread...

Installed an Antigravity Battery Tracker Plus Battery Monitor. Works great on all types of batteries including lithium. Monitors your battery from the Battery Tracker Plus phone app. It also monitors your vehicle's charging system and tests your cranking amps. Works from up to 20-30 yards away. Works great! You can set alert parameters. Not sure if Lamonster has the Plus version, I saw the regular version there. I got the Plus version from Amazon:

Also installed the FOBO Bike 2 for Trike, bought that from Lamonster Garage. Works great, also via phone app. Installation was a breeze. Tire pressure alert parameters can also be set. Just select "Reverse Trike" from the vehicle menu. Both apps have easy to read interfaces:

I spent almost $800 on the Spyder. Been having on and off parking brake issues. I have adjusted it a dozen times. It works for a while, then doesn't. I took it in the have the shaft recall done and asked them to check it out. It turns out that I have a faulty switch on the left side of handlebars. This is the first repair I have had on the Spyder, so I told them to get the part ordered and fix it up. I want to do a nice long trip this year; my first trip in two years, since having both shoulders replaced. I think I am finally ready to hit the road again. Wife wants to do Black Hills again, but do it before the Sturgis Rally.
Well, they called and said it was done. I drove down to Phoenix (100+ miles) to pick it up. Got on and started testing every function on the switch, and the brake release still failed. So I had to leave it. They found a bad connector on the brake motor and fixed it. They discounted my bill 50% for the inconvenience and agreed to deliver it to my house. Guy showed up today with it on a trailer. When he unloaded it he trashed the grill. So now it is headed back to the dealers to get a new grill. Not sure if I want them to deliver when it's done. I think I will go down and pick it up myself. This has been an ordeal for sure... And it continues. Now the parking brake is still failing, so they have now ordered a new parking brake motor. I am beginning to think they are just throwing parts at until it works. Not a happy camper.

I live in Greensboro, NC. It got to 80° F this afternoon and made it perfect for riding. I did not go anywhere in particular, just went South by the NC Zoo and kept going. Went through several small towns and circled back to Asheboro, where I stopped for supper. I then came back home.

Installed new batteries in our '21 RTs last weekend. Yesterday pulled some panels off and looked over the cooling. Should be good to go whenever the weather changes. New batteries, new air filters, fresh oil and filters, tires up to pressure... giddy up, Mother Nature!!

Went to the collect my Spyder at a local Mc shop and finally got it out of hibernation.(y)
When I got there the Spyder was parked outside and was still wet from the wash, great service.
It started up like normal and the 15 minute ride home was enough to get the oil warm and level checked in the garage, no need to add any.
Later this evening I'm off to meet buddies for some mc talk and planning the season maybe. :)
