• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yep, they are claimed to have built in resistors! USCG Electronic Tech A school had a full week on resistors BTW. The turn signals are single filament two wire Ground/Signal feed. Running lights are combined with brake lights.

Replaced the original battery in my 2016 F3L Special Series. This battery has only been using a tender for the past 6-8 months, after it started to turn slow if not ridden over a 3 week period. I gotta say, 9 years was a very good run. Especially considering I have just replaced the battery in my 2021 RTL in November. The older ones just lasted longer.

Before I got finished with the lights, I made a misstep and rolled the hell out of my ankle. No broken bones but it's sprained pretty bad. Can't drive for a while and that's OK for now, and I'm glad it's not riding season while I'm on crutches and walking boot.

I'd love to share a picture of the lights, but I don't have the option to insert thumbnails, so I guess you'll need have to use your imagination.

Edit... I was able to resize the picture to make it small enough to meet the size limit for the forum, then it allowed me to insert it as a thumbnail.

I bought mine with the rider floorboard lights and installed them afterwards on the passenger boards, I love the look.
Looks like you have lights on the back of the fenders and on the bags, am I right?

Yes sir, good eye.
All of the reflectors have been replaced with LEDs. I also added a light package to the top case. She's illuminated very well.
 
Had the original factory front tires removed and replaced with Vredsteins. The Factory front tires still had some tread left, but they couldn't be balanced to remove the handlebar shake above 40mph (not round?) The previous owner had already installed an Altimax on the back. I did a short test ride with the V's, taking them up to about 85mph - hey, the sign along the highway says 89, so I was 4 under... oh, what?! That's the state highway number you say? Darn! Anyway, they're much better, no shake now. Yay! They took very little weight to balance them, especially compared to the nearly 6 inch long line of weights it took for the factory tires. Seems like even with the electric power steering there was less steering effort at low speeds. I always hesitate to compare the feel of old worn tires to the feel of new tires, but so many people here recommend the V's, so I didn't expect to be disappointed. They felt good on the short ride. I picked them up from Tire Rack and had them installed locally, but wow, has the price of mounting and balancing gone up from days gone by! I saved a few bucks by disposing of the old tires myself. The local waste transfer station takes 5 tires each year for free, and it's just down the road from my place. Am I dating myself if I say I can remember getting four tires mounted and balanced for less than what I paid for one today? Yikes!

After a few miles of breaking them in, I'll zip up AZ89 to the top of Granite Ridge, then back down again to test them in some nice twisties.
 
Ordered a new rear tire and an oil change kit from Lamonster for my 2021 RTL. Getting it prepared for the cross country trip that my buddy and I are doing in May. I am super excited. Still not 100% sure I will be taking the spyder. There is still a small possiblity that I will be doing this on my BMW K1600B. The 2 wheeler might be more fun in some situations, but the 3 wheels would be better when coming across windy locations.
