• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Lol! It's not that bad, heated gloves, liners, and socks under ski pants and leather. When I back out the garage, I'm warmer than in my truck 'til it heats up!

Did the 2nd oil & filter change today at 9400 miles. Installed the gold drain plugs, even though the BRP drain plugs are just fine. I'm keeping them for spares.
The transmission magnetic drain plug had a few metal shavings on it, but looks completely normal. The engine oil looks perfect. I was scheduled to change the oil at 12,600 mi as per BRP specs, but I really didn't want to go that far. I figure 6000 mi oil changes from now on is a good interval. By looking at the oil and the way the F3S runs, 9600 mi oil changes would be just fine, and if I had to push it, there's plenty of room for that.
This is the 2nd time I've purchased Lamonster's oil change kit, and as always it's top notch, and everything is included, plus you get a oil change sticker reminder, a cool sticker, and some hard tack candy for during or after the oil change. I'll be back.
All in all, it was nice to be in the shop with the tunes going, taking my time, and enjoying working on the F3S.
Now for that adult beverage - Hey, I deserve it. I saved a bunch of money... Again! ;)

We took advantage of the abnormally warm day and went for a ride over to our favorite local wing joint. When we got home, I performed an oil change for the first time since the break-in change that was done by the dealership.
I'll parrot the comments made regarding the oil change kit supplied by Lamonster which included their drain plugs, I'm very pleased with the quality. I'll get the K&N air filter done tomorrow.
We've got a couple more light kits to install, so the Spyder will stay in my parking place for a few more days.

Sounds like a good day.

Well, technically it wasn't today... more like last week.

Decorated the Spyder for our neighborhood Christmas Parade. Most of the parade participants were golf carts and side by sides, and a couple cars. Decided to use the Spyder instead of our side by side because the Spyder is quieter, and unique. Got lots of compliments.

Some lights were battery powered, and others were run by a lithium battery pack with an inverter in the trunk. Dollar store glow sticks on the wheels. Christmas tree on the front, and a stuffed Santa riding a Reindeer Motorcycle on the trunk were found at the local Goodwill. Note the glow stick Spider found during Halloween at the Dollar store on the frunk.

The poor guy with the Side by side behind me had generator problems. He'd start the generator, everything would light up and the snowmen on the roof would inflate and glow, and a minute later the generator would die, lights would go dark, and the snowmen collapse. All that work, and he had to skip the parade. :(

We drive all the streets in our small development, and many residents set up chairs and campfires in the front yard and have a party to watch, then we head back to the community building for treats. It was a beautiful Arizona desert night.

Yesterday I finally broke 200 miles on my new RTL (it has been really wet and cold). For a guy coming off of 50 years of two wheel driving I am getting quite used to the realm of three wheels and look forward to many more miles in the saddle.

Today I installed the FOBO Bike 2 for Trikes. Really easy to set up and I really like knowing my tire pressure when riding.

Wow! How fun. Your gonna Ike it.

Rode out to St. Augustine from Gainesville (FL) to celebrate my brother's birthday. 200 miles round trip! Starting out it was 38°F outside, so needed to bundle up. Return trip was ~55°F, so a very nice ride.

Looked at my spyder in the garage last night and only dreamed about riding as I recover from this terrible flu that I picked up between Christmas and New Years. Also planning my cross country trip to begin in May of this year. Still trying to decide whether to use the spyder or my new scoot (BMW K1600B). They both have plusses. Spyder is more stable, but over the full lenght of the trip it will probably use 80 gallons more fuel. The 2 wheeler might be more fun on some legs of the road, but we will have to see.

Hey Das (and everyone else too! ;)) rather than loading full sized pics like those that were shown in your post above (pics which some readers won't be able to see properly cos they're just too big for their screen!) until I fixed them, please use the Attach Files link below the text field when you're posting and then Insert (load) your pics as thumbnails, as outlined & shown in post #1,725 - here:

Thanks. (y)
Maybe that will help.
When I attach a pic it says image too large.

After a rear ended collision in my car on Christmas Eve I decided to get a dash cam for the car once I get it back and one for the Trike.
I installed a Tenbaba dash cam with Apple CarPlay and GPS.

Just what it says really...I see this question/topic on a couple other forums I visit, and it's always interesting to see what people post. So, what did you do to your Spyder today? Any model, heck let's include Ryker too.....
Good to see this still going.... wow, 5 yrs already. Me, I haven't been on the site in a long time. Just thinking about changing the air filters in our 21 RT's and maybe checking the coolant. Not much really needs to be done. I change our oil in the fall along with a few other minor little things.

Not today, but during the Christmas break: Installed underglow leds. Added an accessory fuse block. Heat wrapped and silicone sealed header pipe to cat bypass. Took baffle out of cat bypass. Changed out all three brakes.

Installed footboard lights over the weekend. Got everything finished in time to tuck the Spyder back into the corner and get my truck back in the garage before the snowfall. Very pleased with the results.
Before I got finished with the lights, I made a misstep and rolled the hell out of my ankle. No broken bones but it's sprained pretty bad. Can't drive for a while and that's OK for now, and I'm glad it's not riding season while I'm on crutches and walking boot.

I'd love to share a picture of the lights, but I don't have the option to insert thumbnails, so I guess you'll need have to use your imagination.

Edit... I was able to resize the picture to make it small enough to meet the size limit for the forum, then it allowed me to insert it as a thumbnail.

Prepping my ride for a possible road trip to Green Country Jamboree. Put the IPS rack w/ top case back on, and today I fashioned a smaller rack in front of the IPS to carry my duffel bag. Made from aluminum angle and a $16 porcelain enamel grill topper. Once at my destination, I can pull four bolts and have both racks off in about 2 minutes.
What size Apache box did you use?
