• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed Admore light kit for my SH36 Shad saddlebags. Thanks to great assistance from Campermac, and Mikthebik. Have amber signals on the Shad cases, a red brake flash when applying brakes, steady with brake pedal depressed, and red running light.

I'm thinking a lot of owners who got their new trikes with parts missing are sitting on theirs making "VROOM, VROOM" sounds.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. Who can blame them ????

Dealers can't release bikes until the parts are received and installed. I guess you could go down to the dealer and sit on the crate and make sounds lol.

.

Set up my phone and Sena combo to comm with others with a phone and in range of a cell tower. Phone answers automatically when in Bluetooth mode. Easy touch on phone to make outgoing calls. Just to be used for group rides. Next is upgrading the comm system from the old SMH5. Problem is, my wife just use it on our tours and it works great. Hard to justify spending hundreds on a new comm system.

Spyder farkles

Today I washed the Spyder and the wife and I went for a 3 hr ride. Cruising the back roads of Missouri. Nice day temperature wise 82deg
but was a windy day 15 to 20 MPH winds. When we got back this afternoon I was able to install some items on the Spyder my wife got
me for Christmas had to wait for weather to warm up enough. I put on the Spyder emblems in place of the BRP emblem on the frunk and
on the back trunk.I added chrome strips to the back of the saddle bags and beside the HMBL on the back trunk. Added chrome to the side
of the speakers or both sides. I put the glove box protectors on the Spyder. Also added the chrome and carbon fiber (SpyderRyder) emblems
on both front sides.

Ultimate Seat installed and tested for 150 miles or so. The boss and I are pretty darn happy so far!

Last week I brought 2 more farkles.

I haven't had time to install them yet, life gets in the way!

I installed sequential turn signals and started on the after burner taillights, until I broke the left top panel. Waiting until tomorrow to see how far out a replacement piece is.

I installed the after burner's on Saturday. So far I like them. The more lights the better.

Built an inside shield for my oversize brake pedal.
Too often I was stepping on the pedal linkage as
well as the pedal and not getting the correct pedal action.
Now my boot will be limited to pushing on the pedal only.

Sent my wife's new helmet off to Sue Hopper for custom paint job. She has been great to work with so far.

I can't help but laugh when I read this. I started riding in 2006. I had purchased my first bike, as a 40th birthday gift to myself. One day I was outside the garage and sitting on the bike as if though I was riding down the road, and making VROOM sounds. Then I looked over and the neighbors daughter (who had just turned 16) was sitting in a car that her father had bought for her. She was over there making those same sounds in anticipation of getting her drivers license. We nodded to each other and laughed.:roflblack:

Last year I moved into a new house. The new garage is much colder than my previous one.
This week, I finally added a pigtail for a battery tender. This is the first time I've ever run a battery tender on a Spyder, and I'm on my third one since 2010.
I also added the KOTT Screens and the Amber Turn Signals to the mirrors.

Didn't actually do anything to it, but for it. I order a new set of tires. Vredesteins on the front and a General Altimax for the rear.

when my wife says I snore I tell her I'm dreaming I'm a spyder

Today was installation of the Lamonster Big Eye Mirrors. And the start of design work on the factory mirror delete panels.
I cannot tell you how nice it is to actually have functional, usable mirrors on my RT.
Can Am should be ashamed of the factory mirrors.

I also installed the BRP rear armrests for my wife - in the short spin around the neighborhood - she approved (short because we were having 40 - 50 mph winds today and the Spyder is not a lot of fun in high winds).

This weekend, the handlebar lid locks and my backrest should arrive as well.
