• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I re- positioned the Pedal Box from the handlebar cuff to inside of the right access panel.

Hey Das (and everyone else too! ;)) rather than loading full sized pics like those that were shown in your post above (pics which some readers won't be able to see properly cos they're just too big for their screen!) until I fixed them, please use the Attach Files link below the text field when you're posting and then Insert (load) your pics as thumbnails, as outlined & shown in post #1,725 - here:

Thanks. (y)

Not exactly today, but I thought I'd share the idea with others who have been thinking about a rear rack for GS, RS, RSS, ST, or STS/Ltd.

I have a SMOOTHSPYDER DUAL-MODE BACKREST, you can get a cheap one for all these models

Edit: I can't attach pictures now, server says too big. But basically, I attach Honda ADV350 rear luggage carriers to the backrest support and an aliexpress luggage carrier plate. I've tried to minimize the picture, but I have to try/learn how to do it with my phone...

Did you try attaching any images as thumbnails, as outlined in the linked post quoted immediately above yours??

There's also a few threads on how to add pics around the place, one good one in the Forum Support & Testing forum - Lamonster's initial post has a few hints on re-sizing pics in one of his videos, but the actual loading bit refers to the old platform. However, my recent update post for the new forum platform outlines how to use the 'Attach Files' link to add larger pics (but not too large!), then 'Insert' them as thumbnails, so that the forum platform does most if not all of the work for you! ;)

Well, first mod for my spyder in a few months. Put a set of grip puppies that I won at a drawing at spyder adventures in 2023. They feel awesome. I actually won 2 pair, so I will be putting the second pair on my new (to me) scoot, a 2019 BMW K1600B. I sold my 2018 exactly a year ago and picked up a 2008 M109. But I missed the luxury ride and handling on the 2 wheeler. My buddy gave me a heck of a deal on a clean newer one with about $5k worth of mods on it for less than I sold my 2018 for a year ago. I would love to get them both out, but it's 21 degrees this morning, so I will just look at them in the garage.

Hey der,
Did you remove the whole big black panel, or just enough push tabs to flex the panel outward?
For the tensioner, I just pulled the top of the big panel (left side) away and installed it. The install for the lighted floorboards, however, was a PITA! In order to correctly run the wiring for the floorboards I had to remove the big black panel (right side). Taking it off was rather easy, but putting it back on was a master class in frustration. All is well however, and after lots of @#$@%(& words, I was able to get it all buttoned back up. I tried to upload a couple of pics using the method that was shared recently regarding thumbnails, but no joy.

Ya, every time I try to upload a picture I get the FILE IS TO LARGE warning. What a PITA having to go in a change the camera settings just to post a picture. Don't like it.
I reckon I won't be posting pictures . I guess we no longer have a signature line, mods to Spyder info, or Spyder members map :(

Hold onto your panties, Peter is working on a solution, Rome wasn't built in a DAY!

I am here but been looking around before joining. Thank you as I installed Baja Ron Ultra anti sway bar on my new 23’ Sea To Sky. It made a great difference in handling in the curves, and took away what I would describe as wandering on straight but bumpity roads.

Built a custom license plate frame that holds two Denali high intensity running/brake lights on either side of the tag. They required a flat surface to mount and there were none on the rear of the RTL. Made it out of 0.22 thick polycarbonate. Now I just need to find a nice frame for the plate that will fit.

finally figured out picture attachments

Installed a Spyder Extras seat brace (or bracket) on my 2021 RTL to keep the front seat up when refueling. It is a shame that BRP didn't get something as simple as the seat shock correct. So far the one for the rear trunk still works, but according to all my friends, it is only a matter of time.
