• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I feel like my 2012 RT is now obsolete

Doors? Mine didn't come with doors. Nice muffler by the way. Does the extra noise make it go faster?

I feel like my 2012 RT is now obsolete

Obnoxious but clever! A shorter but written by a genius Our whole economy is based on planned obsolescence. Brooks Stevens Milwaukee-based Brooks Stevens was one of the great industrial designers, but he's best known for coining the term "planned obsolescence."

I feel like my 2012 RT is now obsolete

With all of the posts and pictures of everyone's 2014 with all of the fabulous changes, I feel like I might as well just leave my 2012 in the garage. Seriously, I wish I had the money right now to buy a 2014. I also don't put enough miles on the current RT to justify changing it. I suppose...

    My New 2014 RT S SE-6

I hope first year production is better than in was for the 2010 models I bought an Rt the first year they came out and spent much of my time having the recalls done. My 2012 has been perfect. I am am anxious to see how the first year turns out before I make any change. On the other hand I...

    2013 RT LTD - analog fuel gauge - accuracy - NOT !

Digital Gauge works but........ The digital gauge works, but once it hits 1/2 full (or empty depending on whether you are a pessimist or optimist), it drops to empty very quickly. I usually get overly optimistic when I have gone over 100 miles to the 1/2 way mark, but then 40 miles later the...

    Garmin 665-Cuts in and out

I have been struggling with the install of my Garmin 665 on my 2012 Rt for some time. It works fine when I route the audio through the aux. plug in the trunk, but when I use the connector that I would use for the 660 the XM cuts in and out. The problem with the aux plug in the rear is that the...

    Lets talk intercom headsets....

Uclear 200 My wife and I use the Uclear 200 units. What I love is not having a separate microphone. It is built into the earphones, and the units seem to work well for phone calls, intercom, music etc.

    Garage door opener

Mine works well I have had the flash 2 pass for a while now, and it is nice to have. Obviously a small garage door opener would work as well, but this seemed like an easy add-on, and was.

    Harbor freight Lift

Not pleased I have the Harbor freight lift, and it seems very unstable. There was a review of various lifts by consumer reports(I think) They would not run it through the full battery of tests for fear it would collapse. I plan to replace mine.

    Hit Air bag Jackets

I have 3 I have a winter jacket as well as 2 vests. It is probably crazy but the concept is good, and if it offers a bit of extra protection, I like it. I have had people offer me $25.00 to see me "inflated" in it, but do not want to have to repack it. They are not cheap but than again, a...

new product found on Ebay today

Ive been using 2 small bungie cords crisscrossed. I keep my rain gear on one side and my wife's on the other. Wish I had thought of selling their item years ago when I first did this.

    cheaply made spyder

Its the Mirrors Taking the plastic off has not been an issue, but every time I take the mirrors off, I wonder if the plastic will make it. There must be a better way of attaching the mirrors. They are getting looser and looser, in spite of the tension springs being tightened. The other...

Where does the glovebox lock connect in front

Yes I understand th esteering needs to be turned. I understand that the steering needs ot be turned and locked in place for the glove-box to latch. It had worked fine until some work was done on it a few montns ago. I shoul dbe getting my 5K oil change soon, and I will have the dealer fix it...

Where does the glovebox lock connect in front

My glove-box does not lock, and I can not find the front connection point. It is attached at the glove-box, but even with al lthe side panels off I can not find where it should attach so it locks when the handlebars are locked. My dealer says it is a bigger job than one might expect, since a...

    Sooo tempted

And no doubt the 2014s wil have improvments as well So much depends on the type of riding you do. I do a lot of two up riding with my wife, and though the ST looks like a great machine for a solo rider, it does not look like the best choice if two people are sharing it. Of course you can...

    Odd Sound issue

I added a Garmin 665 a couple of months back and all seemed well. I am using the plug on the right rear side and it supplies both power an sound to the speakers. Recently I started getting random drop outs of sound on the XM part. This occurred with both XM and other music,I took it to the...

    Locking glove box

Spoke to the dealer The cable did come loose as suspected, but it is apparently a major pain to fix. I have had the side panels off and though I see that the cable has come loose from the glovebox itself, I can not find where it connects to the machine to lock it-The cable does not move when...

    Updated dealers list for Garmin?

Dealer list file for garmin 665 I know this has been addressed, but I just added a Garmin 665 to my RT and would love to add a current dealer list to the Garmin. I have the spyder icon on there, but am not sure how to get a current dealer list loaded onto the 655. I have a macintosh, which...

Concerned about transmission after software update

You are correct about the higher REV shift point. I just spoke to one of the service guys at my dealer and he conformed what many have said. The higher shift points are a result of the software update, and that shifting around 5,000 even from 1-2 is better for the engine/transmission as well...
