Greetings all, am here in Kissimmee, FL. visiting the mouse. Went over to Central Florida Power Sports to check on a couple of things, found out I was the first one to order a 2014 RT S with them in Cognac, also checked on the warranty for the 2014 and the rumer that it would be 4 years if got delivered by Jan. 31, 2014. On the warranty they said at this time it was until October 31 but they would keep an eye on it and let me know.

Also said that my 2014 would be in for delivery probably for the end of November, again, they said if earlier they would let me know.

Have a good one all, will be back at the homestead and checking the boards again on Sunday.

Well, it looks like we will need to visit y'all soon again so I can see the new ride AC! We have some friends who just moved to Fort Walton, so I guess I'll just have to ride 399 from Navarre again to come see ya.

Darn. That will be almost too much sand and ocean to see ! :doorag:

Absolutely.
I fully expect many, many miles and smiles. And I still get to go to Spyder events and see the friends I have made here. Best of both worlds! But I expect that the 2014 RT will get you new unit owners much closer to the feeling of the Wing. And that is torquey touring pleasure!

Sure cruise on down Steve no worries, would like to see your wing trike close up. I did consider triking my wing before I got the spyder.

Ok here is the Deal, its the 20th Of Oktober, so my gut and my Sales man (Maurice and Chuck at CPS in Kissimmee) tells me mid to late November. i will have a tough choice, Do i trade in my 2012 gold wing? Absolutely.

I hope first year production is better than in was for the 2010 models

I bought an Rt the first year they came out and spent much of my time having the recalls done. My 2012 has been perfect.

I am am anxious to see how the first year turns out before I make any change. On the other hand I am jealous of those of you being the first with a new toy.

I have been been away from the board for a while, but what are the real world mpg and range numbers?

Real world is about 38 mpg. Fred and I got to do some tank to tank testing on them. You should be able to get 200 miles+ out of a tank now. They claim 250 but I wouldn't count on that.

I think 200 miles out of a tank is just about the right time to have to stop. Thats a huge improvement in my mind let alone the new engine.

:agree: Most of our weekend rides seem to come in at about that distance. It'd be great to not have to plan a fuel stop along the way. :2thumbs:

Just got confirmation 19 minutes ago. Brp is delaying shipments on all Rts for several weeks for additional quality assurance checks in 14 Spyder Rts looks like end of December January now.
