It has 21100 miles on it. I don't think it is a good idea to go to MV 2 up on this tire.
LOL! Good observation!Prudence is good insurance. Wives get real cranky when sitting on the side of the road. I have never seen or met one yet that would say " honey it is alright that you just tried to scare us both to death by saving a buck!"

I probably wouldn't take time out of riding just to change the tire; but if you've got some servicing coming up... Change it!
The reason for changing the wheel bearings is what? If they're not broke, why fix them?
That photo illustrates the classic indication of over-inflation... finished in the center but lots of tread left on the outer edges. Would you mind sharing some info about how much pressure you carry? And how much load you usually have? (2-up, etc.) Thanks!I would, mine look like this around 18K and I change them, I was headed to Spyderfest both times when I
replaced because and there was gonna be allot of rain that I wanted to have channeled out. My fronts lasted
to 33K, could have gotten a little more out of them but didn't want to hassle finding out on my trip.

In this case, not really. With a wide tire that has thin, 2-ply tread, the tire has a tendency to balloon at speed. This could just as easily be a sign of a lot of freeway riding as a sign of over-inflation.That photo illustrates the classic indication of over-inflation... finished in the center but lots of tread left on the outer edges.
