• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. 3 ft of snow on the ground, :yikes:and another 1ft on the way today! 4 days without power, just got it back on Christmas eve, hoping it will stay on for a while. Makes me want to move somewhere warm! The Spyder may not see the road until May or June at this rate:dontknow:.Anyway vent over! Hope everyone has a very Happy New Year! Health and happiness to all my Spyderlovers friends. Ride safe and enjoy!

This is more then we had the whole winter last year Bob! Good for the skiers and snowmobilers. Not so good for spyder riding and sun worshipping!:roflblack:

That much snow does give a winter wonderland feel to everything though. Enjoy that part of it. Hoping you can keep the power on though. Being without power is no fun in the winter, for sure.

:agree: That's why we're figuring on having one of those 14 KW Generacs bolted up to the side of the house come Spring... We need some extra capacity so that I can also keep the office from turning into a cold, dark block of ice as well... :yikes:

Good plan Bob! We will do the same when we do renos next year! Neighbor has a 12 kw and he was sitting pretty! We have a wood stove, so we were warm and could cook on it, but still not fun for showers etc. this is our retirement home ( we live and work in Ottawa during the week) so we will set it up good for when we are here full time!

Oh the weather outside is frightful....not really! :roflblack: I had a wonderful ride today and we even sat outside for lunch. Back when I lived in the cold north we had a Generac whole house generator with an automatic transfer switch and it was great. It always drove the other neighbors nuts when they could hear it running while they sat freezing or roasting in their dark houses.

I have been checking the generac 20kw units, looks like that would be just the thing to keep things cozy when thing like last week happen! Will have to add that to the Reno list.
