Here in Vermont, they have issued a Winter Weather Advisory. It is in effect from 11:00 pm EST this evening until 1 pm Thursday.

What.......... Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch. Winds gusts up to 30 to 35 mph possible late Thursday morning and afternoon.

Where.......... Northern New York and all of Vermont.

When.......... From 11:00 pm EST this evening to 1 pm EST Thursday.

Impacts.......... Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. A few power outages are possible.

Additional Details.......... Mixed precipitation will arrive in the morning. Air and pavement temps will rise throughout the day, limiting freezing rain potential in the afternoon. Icy conditions are likely on elevated surfaces like bridges, overpasses, and untreated roadways. The strongest wind gusts will begin as precipitation exits the region. If any ice remains on powerlines, a few localized power outages may occur.

The road crews will out on the roadways @ 3:00 am Thursday morning.

(Off topic: I am not going anywhere!)

Everyone be safe and healthy!

:coffee:....Yesterday, was the best ever for me. The temperature got up to 78°F. I got all is well here and keep up the good work. Currently we have overcast sky and 51°F.

Today we will have some clouds. Indiana Farmers have been very busy. The State has been having a very good harvest this year.

We broke another all time high record yesterday. It was a pleasant 85 degrees. Today...down to 45 and raining. It feels a lot colder than it really is.

...It's finally Friday and currently clear sky with 42°F. Yesterday was a beautiful dry day with lots of sunshine. I enjoyed my ryde time but it was a little chilly.

High is 57°F with some clouds. Low is 41°F. No rain in my local area.
No snow for me just yet. I will try and put the snow on hold till December 23 2023. The wife said 'good luck with that'.

Stay Healthy and Be Happy. ....

It got cold here in the desert last night. Got down to 52! Had to crank up the furnace this morning for the first time this season. It came alive without a hiccup. Currently it's 69 and headed for a high of 75 today. There is very little breeze and no clouds. Headed out to my usual Friday car show in a couple of hours. It gets bigger each week. Last Friday there were about 150 cool cars and my little Mustang convertible. Expect there will be a couple hundred today. Stay safe..... Jim

Weekend Weather 11/11/23 - 11/12/23

Well folks this is the last of my yard work/leaves for the year. I was able to get out there and 'tell the trees' game over. Well that's what I wanted to do.
The wife said she would give me some help. So that was sweet of her. She has been a very dear woman and willing to help. I thank God for her daily.

Currently we have overcast sky and 29°F bone chilling weather. I am glad for the few warm days we just finished. Did really enjoy all the Spyder Rydes this week.

High today only 51°F with sunshine and lots of blue sky.
Low of 33°F. No rain or snow on the schedule today.

Sunday numbers are 57°F with some clouds.
Low 33°F.

Enjoy your weekend and be Happy. ....

Another screen door day here in the desert. Currently it's 74 and heading for a high of 81. Little to no breeze and there are no clouds. Humidity is 28%. Managed to get by without cranking the furnace up this morning. Put a flannel long sleeve shirt on over my usual T-shirt and waited for mother nature to warm things up. She's doing a good job! We are experiencing perfect winter weather in the desert. Stay safe..... Jim

Monday 11/13/23

:coffee:....Welcome to Monday's weather news from Indiana. Currently clear sky and 38°F. Yesterday was a beautiful sunshine day and I enjoyed some great time with my family. I hope you had a wonderful time.

Today's numbers are 63°F and 29°F.
No rain in the forecast for today.

Stay Healthy and Enjoy Life. ....

The current temp in Vt. is 33 degrees. This afternoon we had snow flurries.

The rest of this week will be cloudy, as is often the case during the cloudiest month of the year. There will be a few snowflakes and rain drops from time to time, but nothing serious However, there will be a brief warm up by the end of the week.

A weak frontal system will kick up a few snow & rain showers overnight and into the first part of Tuesday. We will break up the clouds a bit on Wednesday and a few rays of rare November sunshine. A fast moving trough of low pressure may scatter a few more snow & rain showers on Wednesday night. Then we will have our best chance for a few hours of sunshine on Thursday.

Temps will be warming up into the mid 50's on Friday. That sounds good, but there will be alot of clouds and it will be breezy out of the south.

A frontal system coming in from teh west will be joining up with a system coming up the east coast, moving through on Friday night into Saturday with a round of rain. As the rain tapers off late on Saturday. It will mix with a little bit of snow as the colder air comes back in over the weekend.

Everyone be safe and for those of you that can ride year round keep the rubber side down.

High today of 65°F. Going to be a good sunny day

Stay Safe and Enjoy your Day. ....

More of the same for us. 60's during the day, dropping down to 40's during the night. Blue skies and sun by day. It is now dark at 5:30....but better than the 4:00 darkness heading for 3:30 by winter solstice in Alaska. Only one more month, and the days will be getting longer again.

It was hovering around 70 here today so got a little ryde in. Had to ryde up to Sheridan lake to see if there was any ice yet. None yet.

Stay Warm and Enjoy your Ryde Times. ....

Big change in the weather here in the desert. This morning I got up to rain at 5 AM. It didn't last long but there was enough to be measurable..... 0.04 inches. First measurable rain in over 2 months. Today's high will be 75. It's mostly cloudy with a few bright spots in the sky. The wind is calm. This kind of weather is very welcome for us desert dwellers. It doesn't happen often and usually only lasts for a day or two. Stay safe..... Jim
