• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

why do people even try

:agree: :gaah:
This is going to blanket the news for the next two days...
Or until some Hollywood start does something stupid again! :D

car

it was a infiniti g37 just like mine but one report said the woman had mental problems and there was a 1 year old child in the back seat than they say is in good condition.

She was from Connecticut - We must take any objects that can possibly be used as a weapon away from everyone in the state. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Our local TV station is DC . . . for a couple hours, they kept showing a totaled police car, in the middle of the road, no other vehicle near it, and saying how it had collided with the woman's car . . . and they kept mentioning all the evidence placards the cops had put on the road around it as marking "bullets" . . . then a video surfaced of that police car, coming through the intersection at a high rate of speed, lights and sirens on, and a second or two before he got there, the bollards, under the road popped up and he hit them . . . the evidence placards marked where pieces of his car ended up . . . they also kept saying how the woman got out of her car and shot at the police . . . I love how our news media is so good at taking wild guesses and passing them off as fact . . . I wish they'd just say what they know to be factual, and then shut up!

What! How can this be true? I worked for a local news outfit for 4 years and we always reported the facts....honest. :roflblack:

the driver

they were just saying that the woman was in her late 30's and a dental hygienist and the reason it took so long to stop her is that police tend to not want to open fire on a woman, she did have a 18 month old in her back seat so something really had to snap to let this woman do what she did, it's a shame she had to die if she was just sick.

Yeah... I've got a G37 Convertible and that is what it was... except a coupe. She was certainly not poor and unable to afford insurance.

I've been sort of trying to stay away from this topic...
Tragic as it is; she truly was the author of her own misfortune.
When you ram barricades and police vehicles in the city where our government is; what do you think is going to happen? :dontknow:
Now; if she was mentally ill... that makes it a tragedy for her family. Perhaps they should have been keeping a bit closer eye on her if they knew that something was amiss.
..just sayin'...

This is another"what is the whole story" incident. Did they have to shot her many times??? who knows, but with what was going, I probably would have.
As far as honest reporting, the media lost that a long time ago. The TV sounded like they looking for a wild man with assult rifle or a couple.
I think it was William Randolph Heast who said, "Do not let the facts get in the way of a good story". I think people called yellow reporting
Oldmanzues
