• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I was starting to feel a little old at 74 until I attended the Red Rock Rallye last month. It looked an outing from a retirement home! Felt much better. Just guessing, but looked like 65 average to me. More surprising than age, were the number of women riders! A real eye opener. Very cool!

So what is the real purpose of this thread? Not sure what this all means or does it have any meaning. Are you young "whippersnappers" trying to cull us out of the herd or what?

Had to give up my BMW as I was starting to feel a bit unsafe with my wife on. Thought about Spyders for a few years and last month I bit the bullet and purchased a 2016 RT-S Special Series (it was my wife who decided on the color).
I'm 79 and she's 77, but still loves to ride. I do too! I have to admit that I feel a lot safer with three-wheels.

I turn 60 in Aug so I hit the 60 button

Figure I might just go ahead and own it. I'll turn the big SIX 0 in less that a month. Love the 3 wheel upgrade. Two wheels worked well for 40 years but I believe it's a natural progression to go to 3 wheels at some point.

Turned 80 in April, still riding in the wind after almost 60 years on two wheelers. Traded my Ultra Classic and Goldwing for my 2014 RT-s two years ago and never looked back. Still think I'm 19 till my 80 year old Body says, "You're gonna do what"?

sometimes a thread does't need a purpose. Just nice to hear others opinions and experiences. I'm 67 and have owned 18 2 wheelers since i was 16. Got 2 bad knees now but did not want to give up, so the spyder.

70 yrs

70 years young here. Maybe it's the altitude but my attitude is much younger and so is my wifes. She really enjoys :spyder2: trips. Recently returned from a 2 week/ 2000+ mi. trip to the Black Hills, Devils Tower, and Cody Wy.

Had to chime in again.

Now at 71 and with a new hip, I had to re-join the two wheel crowd. I added another Vulcan 900 (it fits me like a glove) to my fleet. I am having more fun that I should be allowed to.:yes::yes:

I almost didn't buy a Spyder because of the dinosaurs I saw on them.:yikes:
I'm in my early fifties and did not need "training wheels" and was considering a sport tourer as my other option. The Spyder won because the new F3s looked bad*ss and it was a totally different experience from two wheels. The people I approached on them prior to buying my bike seemed mostly laid back and conversational. The attitude was one that I enjoy and a local dealer that was recommended by a friend sealed the deal.

36 years of age here, and when I was buying mine, a lot of the employees at the dealership were saying things like "my grandpa loves his", and several similar comments. My main goal isn't to ride around town but see the country, and riding a Spyder is like riding in a lounge chair I never get tired or sore. If it only had an air conditioner.

And one of those food dispensing machines like they had on Star Trek. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

I heard the same thing from one dealer, he insulted me without even knowing it. I too bought my ride......to ride. I have had and have planned many trips. My thoughts
