I am currently completely healthy and do not have
the corona virus. This is just my way of dealing with the set of
circumstances that have been thrust upon ALL of us. Don't really
go on Facebook much. If you have more time than you know
what to do with, continue reading. Lots of pictures sprinkled in.

Delivery of my 2020 RTL order from November 2019 is being delayed.

First delay was caused by me changing from Asphalt Grey Metallic/Dark
to Marsala/Chrome, I know I know I could be riding right now
pps:
That one came in and sold, mine was ordered on the next
batch, this time they also ordered a Red/ dark and my Red/chrome
Then the unthinkable happened, I lost in less than 3 weeks 25% of my savings
As I'm sure many here did.
My better half suggested I cancel the Spyder and continue
riding my current ride. I put a lot of accessories into her, got
her just the way I wanted.

This was my original avatar,
switched to
my current
one, and
have kept
it as the color
is easy to
spot when I an
scrolling, but
that's another
story
Have to admit that I am little scatter
brained when it comes to sharing my
thoughts. I do tend to jump around
and that can be trying if not difficult
to follow. (was that an apology from TicketBait)
There was onetime having spent several hours
creating a thread where many photos and links
such as here only to have disappear without
saving all I had created,.but I digress.

Almost pulled the trigger on the
Anniversary edition, but BRP at first only disclosed a new
color, not the new dash, so I did not preorder with the
incentives that were offered. Then when Bob Denmans
beauty came up for sale because of medical issues (so sad)
needed to sell a vehicle to
purchase his. Which did not happen for some time.
In fact it's still for sale by another forum member......
....time passed..... have not been to Spyder riding
events in over two years.........miss that.....
was considering an F3 limited..........and then saw
the new design unveiled last September.............
......with the new 2020 RT everything changed.
I had the same, "I want one" as I did on seeing
for the first time the Spyder GS advertised in
the newspaper back in 2007

Not by BRP, no, self quarantine.
The Spyder was built and shipped this week but will sit at a
warehouse a couple of hours away until it is safe again to
be sent to the dealership to be prepped.
Having ordered just shy of $4K in accessories, everything is
set to go with the exception of my trailer hitch is on back
order. Yes I did learn I could remove my hitch off my 2010
and use it, but will not. I will continue to ride my 2010 until
it is sold or I trade her in. if interested click here to be directed
to the for sale section of my beast--->https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?128891-2010-RT-S-premiere-edition price has been reduced
Me thinks that even after a month things will be worse as
far as the # of cases and the delay will and should be extended.
I am not complaining just venting.
Had I ordered from Berts Mega Mall (which is a sponsor on this forum)

Which I didn't because they are twice as far away.....
what's the definition of hindsight?.............if only I could see into the future
Berts is keeping their service department open which is allowed
as an essential necessity by the Governor. Showroom closed
but purchases by appointment only. hmmmmm

My wife was furloughed from her job of 25 years,
and is now home
with me. She is busy thinking up projects to do around the house:yikes:
We are going to wash the car today since the car wash is closed, even
though it is going to rain tomorrow, :dontknow: she says she will keep it parked
in the garage. I have a mild case of "pack rat" and now she wants
to go through the entire house and organize and throw out.
Even my man cave is not off limits https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/images/smilies/shemademe_smilie.gif

California has taken an aggressive stance,
You can no longer dine in , even at fast food establishments........
Which had everyone panic and hoard food :gaah:

Even my favorite microwaveable potatoes, zilch, none, gone, nada!:banghead:
Thank goodness my wife and I have each other to bounce ideas off of.
We keep reminding each other to take a deep breath, relax and enjoy.
We have our health! (right now as far as we know)
I found this web site illustration below that was first provided here by BajaRon to be the best. So
Ron
From March 11th

As of today March 21st

and......So........... reflecting back on just the
last Ten years and what that has meant for me.
Would not trade that for any other decade in my
life. Each one of us has choices to make based
on our own circumstances. For me, riding has
brought so much joy, in fact I would say 90%
rewarding memories and 10% disappointment.
I can live with that.
I remember as if it were yesterday, getting my
motorcycle license.............

back to the early days, practicing in a
parking lot on a demo waiting for my delivery........

and then she arrived.......

the sticker shock.......

the support crew

home at last, kept my baby wrapped up

and read the safety card each morning,
till I had her memorized,
(please allow
creative exaggeration
for the story
of my Spyderlovers
life)
Then in 2010 an earthquake
in Haiti, caused massive
devastation, The Local Harley dealership
with Berts Mega Mall teamed up........
..and we all donated and had a great
time even in the rain.

My second ride was with a
group of experienced riders,
learned how to stagger and ride fast.

my dog DooLittle was a
favorite of the group! She
loved to ride as much as I did.
if you enlarge this photo, how
many of the 6 riders can you name?
L-R TJ/Tony Fichter, Lou's X,
Ambassador Ken, then my memory
fades.santa Barbara Bill? SanDiego
mind went blank and I know him,
far right :dontknow:

my first big ride up to Reno and Lake Tahoe
and I remember thinking that if it rained
this would be a terrible trip. And then
another SpyderLover rider (we were all SL Ryders back
then as that was the only best way to
communicate and share our love of the ride.)
said, "it's not just a ride it's an adventure!"
You never know what the next turn holds for you, so welcome the unexpected!

A lot of camaraderie was built
back then and still is today!
finally my wife joined me and DooLittle on rides
to the desert to the mountains to the sea of Southern California

heck even my sister rode on
the back to Las Vegas when
she turned 65, all her kids
thought she was nuts.:roflblack:
Loved watching the Bull Riding finals!

P.S. to be continued as I have
lots of time on my hands now.
