There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Had you ridden your Spyder for at least 10 minutes, preferably about 30 minutes, BEFORE checking the level on the dipstick as per the recommended procedure, and only then added oil if it was indicated?
Adding oil too much sooner than that/getting your oil properly warmed up that means that you've read the level before the oil in the engine/trans gets fully up to operating temp and reaches its full operating volume. If you didn't run it/ride it long enough before checking, then adding as much as a quart of oil before the oil in there had reached its operating temp and therefore full volume, it juuust might be too much!
Also, bear in mind that anything between the 'ADD' & 'FULL' marks on the dipstick means that it's got enough oil and is safe to run, even if you might not want to start out the season &/or a long/hot ride with the oil level too much down toward the ADD mark.

Got both mirror stems (Canyon) threaded equally in the handlebar fixtures so that the mirrors were at the same height and my OCD would quit. Then I got my phone and ear buds Bluetooth linked to the Infotainment screen. Then I went out for a 75 mile drive to revel in music in my helmet and maps on my dash; its divine! By the time I got home, I was half way through my break in period. Woo Hoo.

Installed some K.OT.T. grills and some convex mirrors. Mirrors make a huge difference. Went for a ride.

Washed my car, my 2 wheeler, and the wife's Spyder. It started the slowest, so that was a sign to take it for a ride. Some friends on 3 wheelers were going to a nice BBQ resturaunt in Carthage, NC, and that was all I need to hear. Got in about 130 miles round trip and stopped at one of the many murals to take a picture. There were 8 of us, but only these guys were brave enough to ride back with me once I said I was taking the back roads at a "spirited pace".

No, I did not ride my Spyder. I switched on my Spyder, let it warm up for a few minutes, then shut it off, Checked the oil level on the dip stick, the oil level on the dip stick was below the "MIN" level, put the oil dip stick back in all the way, twisted the "oil dip stick ( Yellow cap) to the close position, then started the Spyder again and let the Spyder warm up a few minutes, shut off the spyder, checked the "oil Level" again , and the "oil level " was still below the "MIN" level, at that point I added 1/2 quart of oil, put the Oil dip stick ( Yellow Cap) back on, Started up the Spyder, let it run awhile, shut off spyder, checked the "oil dip stick"( yellow cap) the oil level was between the "Min & Max "level then added some more oil ( about 4 ounces, from a full oil bottle). Put the Oil dip stick ( Yellow Cap) back.

No, I did not change/or check the oil level before hibernation. (Life got in the way, plus, after the Spyder went into hibernation, I was dealing with the snowmobile). There were no leaks underneath the Spyder.

Did a big service for the upcoming season, Oil/Filter, Flushed/Replace the Brake Fluid, Flushed/Replaced the Engine Coolant, Load tested the battery, failed load test, Replaced with Yuasa battery, over all inspection. (New tires end of last year), good to go for the season. Retired 6 months ago, so plan on lots of riding this season.

I mounted my recycled BMW GS tail trunk on my Canyon using the BRP Linq Adapter plate (PN:860202208) for their SeaDoo SkiDoo line. It fit perfectly on the Linq mounts of the rear cargo plate of the Canyon and makes the BMW bag look like it belongs there.

My first ride will be this Friday 4/25/2025. It is going to the dealership for State Inspection, and I have them change the oil (because Life got it the way from May 23, 2023 to June, 23, 2024) I am going to start with a clean slate on 4/25/2025.
