There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. What did you do to your Spyder today?

9/07/24 I gave my Spyder it's first ever official wash, wax & detailing. It's a bit harder than the Motorcycle, but still much easier than the car. the hardest part? - The rear wheel! :sour:

Wait, you are supposed to clean the rear wheel? :)

We made a picnic lunch and rode down to visit Longwood Gardens. The gardens are part of the old DuPont estate that is now a very nice and very large arboretum. It was a beautiful day to walk the gardens. We made a big loop going down and returning home. All on back roads. 102 miles for the day.

I toured the U.P. of Michigan, actually left Duluth, Mn Tuesday morning, traveled east through Wisconsin then the UP of Michigan to just east of Munising, on I Wednesday returned and added a beautiful tour of the Keweenah peninsula before going on to Duluth - 828 miles. By far the most I’ve ever done in two days, loved it, all went well. Got to see an old snowmobile riding buddy.

Participated in Adopt A Highway Cleanup with my club, Buffalo Soldiers MC-Delaware. Also went to Delmarva Bike Week, Salisbury, MD. Tomorrow I plan to check out the vendors at the Ocean City Convention Center for OC Bikefest. There are a lot of bikes, including Spyders, on Delmarva this week.

It has been raining daily for the past few days, but this morning the weather was perfect for a ride. Rode up to a park about 40 or so miles away, right on the Flint River.

Just got back over the weekend from a trip from NJ to Lake George (SpyderQuest was great!) then to Deals Gap. Awesome days of riding!

Great fudge

We went up to Lahaska PA's Peddler's Village to see a bunch of scarecrows. Then crossed into NJ and rode South along the Delaware River to Washington Crossing and then back home. The river is low by a couple of feet due to the drought we are having. Total miles 81. Saw the odometer roll past 8,000 miles since new in July ‘23.

Well, now, here we are nearly a week later, and it is FINALLY working.

The power wire plugs into the accessory power plug behind the right front body panel. The power to that plug is protected by fuse #6 in the Right Fuse Box in the frunk. Yes, there is a left and a right fuse box in the frunk. In the Operators Guide fuse #6 is identified as GPS Acc with a rating of 5A (amps). The first time I finished everything and turn on the Spyder's key the face of the USB plug lit up with a blue backlight, just as it was supposed to.

But when I plugged in the power cable for my Garmin Zumo XT GPS it blew the fuse. There are several spare fuses mounted in the cover that protects the fuse box, including a spare 5A fuse. I swapped out the blown fuse and tried again. Same thing - blue backlight, blows when I plug in the GPS. I put the Spyder back together without the power working for the docking station, as I had a local event that I wanted to attend with my Spyder, which unfortunately wasn't much fun.

Afterwards, I pulled all the panels again, pulled the wire out, checked to make sure the wrapping was all still intact, and then ran it again to the accessory plug.
Since I had blown the only two 5A fuses I had, a quick trip online found a pack of five of the correct 5A fuses at a local auto parts store, so I bought them online, and when I received the "ready for pickup" email I drove down and picked them up.

Plugged one of the new fuses into the #6 spot, and then turned on the key. The USB Plug lit up.

So I plugged in the charging cable for my iPhone. The USB Plug stayed lit, and my iPhone said it was charging. I disconnected my iPhone and plugged in the Garmin Zumo XT GPS. The USB Plug stayed lit, and the GPS was indicating it was charging. I turned the key off, the USB Plug light went out, and the GPS indicated it was running on battery. And yes, one more time - key on, USB Plug lit up, GPS showed it was charging.

I am wondering if there was an issue with the two 5A fuses that came with my Spyder, since they both blew when I tried to use the docking/power station, but it works fine with a new 5A fuse I bought today from Autozone?

To be clear, I bought the docking/power station from slingmods.com, which came with excellent directions, it was just the fuse issue that was a problem.

I mounted my BMW Nav V GPS on the left handlebar and wired it into the 12V aux connector using a plug-n-play wiring harness from Lamonster Garage. A very nice piece of kit. Getting ready to go on a group ride in southern Ohio and WV this weekend.

I had previously purchased the GPS Plug-N-Play Harness from Lamonster Garage, but I could never get it to work correctly on my 2024 Spyder RT S2S. :dontknow:

I'm glad it worked for you. :2thumbs:

It didn't work at first. So I got out my voltmeter to verify I was getting voltage on the Wagu connection blocks. I was, but the wire colors are reversed: black is positive, red is negative! Reading the reviews on the Lamonster Garage website confirms that many others have also discovered this. I was careless in just hooking everything up before I tested voltage, and I'm very glad that the Nav V is protected against reverse voltage (thank you, Garmin).

Oil change and brakes. Wanted to wait until the end.of the year but overdue and too much ryding yet to be done.

I was also using a meter, but testing from the power port plug up to the connection for the back of the GPS, I could only get continuity on one of the wires. I re-plugged the connections in the Wagu block that wasn't passing the continuity check several times, even using different connection points in the block, but could never get it to work. :sour:

Did the 5000km check and oil change, and purchased a RT622 trailer……4 minutes from the house, now I need a hitch LOL

After starting the day tracking down a squeak the in tie rod for the rear position sensor.
We hit a few stops in the "Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area" and mixed it a few places in the "Iowa Wine,Beer & Distillery Passport". A beautiful day for us to see the sights.

Test rode my new un-balanced rear tire with Ride-On and new brakes all around. Very smooth. This is my 2nd Vred Quatrac 205/60R15. Forgot to reconnect the rear position sensor so will be doing that now!
