• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Not all that uncommon, but do check that you're actually looking at the 'Tread Wear Bars' & not the 'tread stabilization' & 'Ice/slush Breaker' blocks!

These blocks fit your description, and I don't see any others. But I checked with my depth gauge and the center grooves are down the 4/32". New tires are on the horizon.

Went on a short 1 hour ride before the rain chance got too high (and the temp - been in the mid to upper 90's here lately). But I did reach my first 1000 mile mark on the Spyder.

Same here. Went out yesterday but I had to shower when I return home, and I was just wearing a t-shirt and worn out jeans and tennis shoes. I feel naked without my armored jacket and boots, but Damm the heat.

I know what you mean Damm heat! I am not riding today, because of the heat that we have up here in Vt.

I hope the heat breaks soon.

The hot, humid weather up here will be ongoing for a while.

Since I had my rear tire replaced, I've had bad belt vibration, and the belt alignment was too far away from the rear sprocket flange. So after a few hours of you tube, all of which had a different approach to adjusting these, I put the phone down and broke out the tools. After several attempts and subsequent test rides, I think I nailed it.

I now have just a slight vibration at 3400 rpms in 6th gear. Waaaaay better. What a pita it is.

With the new Altimax rear and front Vredesteins she rolls smooth!

Not exactly today but on Monday I was able to get a nice ride in to ZumBrum and Log Roll overlook it was great to be moving on the highway out there to beat the 95+ deg. heat.

Log Roll overlook is about 7 miles up a dirt road off of RT. 68 in Md. with beautiful views to have lunch at.

CC needed a good cleaning after we got back from 14 miles on a dirt road. But it was all worth it.

Today is nice so I spent a little over 3 hours in the saddle this morning riding over to Horseshoe Bend National Military Park. About 170 miles round trip. I'll be glad when I get enough miles to start using the cruise control...

I ran to the post office to mail some boxes and then ran a couple of other errands. Total of less than 15 miles.

.

Polished the bar ends I turned when I had a lathe (and a full metal shop). Examined the air intakes. Removed bugs from a few hard-to-reach places. Too hot to ryde...

1st oil change at 2100 miles. Took about 1 hour. Very few shavings for the first change.
