• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Rode my 2012 RTS to my dealer and they did a valve check and put new gaskets on the valve covers. I also had them do a belt adjust and alignment after I put a new belt put on and had no way of figuring out the tension myself. Got some led bulbs too.
Spyder felt great on the way home and vibrations hardly noticeable after the adjusting.

Removed the pedalbox that was giving me the limp mode error and installed the pedal commander. I set it on sport mode +4 and man it has way more pep than the pedalbox sport mode.

Assembled a cane rack tied to the package rack. Adjusted all tire air pressures.
Rode to AAA to get a Trip Tik for Carson to Bellingham future tour.
Remounted my frunk caddy.

I replaced the stock plastic/resin Sway Bar end links with the Lamonster links. I just didn't like the idea of plastic on my suspension system, and not sure if I actually need an updated Sway Bar. I'll ride like this for a while and see how it goes. They only took 10 minutes to install, and they're very well made.

I took the loaner bike back to the dealer to exchange it for my bike that was in for service. I left before dawn to avoid some of the Philadelphia commuter traffic. I took the scenic route from my home to the dealer in central Pennsylvania. It was a very pretty ride once the sun came up. I rode through Amish farm lands, up and down the foot hills of the Appalachian Mountains, across the Susquehana River, and into Michaux State Forest. Once the bikes were exchanged I repeated the ride in the reverse direction. It was a beautiful day to ride. Total round trip time of 10 hours, about 340 miles.

Holy smokes….”Trip Tik”….I remember those handy little booklets. I would have guessed that they discontinued those years ago. I am happy that they still have those in their offerings..

Went for a short morning ride on a beautiful day. Dropped down to ride around Valley Forge National Park. Afterwards we rode through Chester County and through 5 covered bridges. Knox Covered Bridge, Gibson Harmony Hill Covered Bridge, Sheeder Hall Covered Bridge, and Kennedy Covered Bridge. The final bridge was Rapp's Dam Covered Bridge located on Rapp's Dam Road. Bridges in Chester County are painted white instead of the traditinal barn red. 78 total miles for the day.

Rode 675 miles from Deming, NM to Sierra Cycles in Sierra Vista, AZ to get the laser alignment done, and then back home to Rio Rancho, NM. That was a long day!

Took out the halogen bulbs in my running lights (low beam) and put the new led bulbs in
Wayyy better light on these dark roads over here. High beams are so far very good, so I will wait a while with those.

Installed Lamonster's cat delete, bar clamp with RAM ball and foam grip covers. Oh, and I washed it... we got caught in the rain last weekend near Lassen Park and hadn't had a chance until today.

Rode up to visit my son in the Blue Ridge mountains. Approx 80 mi RT. Nice day, but I had to don my real leather HD Shovelhead jacket because the mesh jacket flows to much air this late in the season. Fall is hear in ETN.

Did the new sway bar links improve your ride any?

I am trying to decide if I want to start with just the links also.

We got rained on last weekend (a week ago) and it sat in the garage for a week, dirty, giving me dirty looks every time I went out there until I washed it!

That's pretty much the only time my Spyder ever gets washed.

Good thing about Pearl White I guess, or maybe it's the clean country air & non-polluted rain that I ride in, as far away from the madding crowds & congested freeways etc as I can get; cos apart from one local 'pedantic polisher' who knows and so just can't 'not nag'... :roflblack: ) it only ever gets "admiring" &/or "how do you keep it so shiny?" comments.
