• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Took both Spyders to N. Georgia Saturday to visit Gibbs Gardens. Beautiful place !! Ate lunch at the lunch restaurant in Gibbs Gardens ...uses local produce and the best home made bread :2thumbs: ever......

Drive up we trusted Google Maps and it took us in a long round about way along some tiny 2 lane (barely) roads thru farmland and up and down dale. Great fun , went really slow in places 20 mph as everything was blind and very tight curves with 15-20 mph limits posted. Reminded me of roads in Northern England/ Scotland
the
Please post what roads you were on that had ...20 MPH ... signs !!!!! .... That's like "the Dragon " tight turns ... Thanks ....Mike

Took the '22 F3-S up to the local dealer (C&C Sports, Brighton Michigan) and had the mirror recall taken care of. 20 minutes later, I was on my way home. :2thumbs:

Then proceeded to change the oil, filter, and replace the drain plugs with the show chrome ones. Note: Get ramps for next time. Sooo much easier than trying to jack it up with a floor jack and a piece of wood to spread the weight.

Whew…I spent Friday through Sunday installing the following on my new F3 Limited:
  • Lamonster belt tensioner
  • Lamonster IPS frame caps
  • Lamonster RAM mount top cuffs
  • Mirror locks
  • Garmin Zumo XT GPS power cable
  • PedalBox Pro
  • Slingmods rear brake light flasher
  • Slingmods replacement LED headlight housings with integrated DRL & turn signals
  • Slingmods LED foglights with integrated DRL
  • Slingmods foglight covers with DRL & turn signals
  • #4 brake rod to stretch out my floorboards a little

I previously installed the BRP rider’s backrest and passenger arm rests the first weekend I had the bike.

I’m waiting on my lift to arrive to install my Baja Ron ultimate sway bar and end links. I also have Elka stage 5 shocks on order but I’ll probably have the dealer install those.

@Blueknight911 Dont remember all of them but Reavis Mountain Road was one of them. One more was Lawson Federal Road. Most of the blind turns are listed as 15 mph Some are listed at 20 mph. Straight sections are listed as 30 mph, not that there are many as you are always going up and down following the terrain. Nearly all of the roads are double yellow lines..no passing :spyder2:

Lot's of roads like this in the NE Ga area, Helen Ga, Brasstown Bald, Suches area & Richard B Russell Hwy to name a few but there are plenty more.

BigPoppa,

Are you going to install any Carbon Fiber items on your new F3 LTD?

If you are what are you going to install?

I’ve been looking at wrapmyspyder and a few faux carbon fiber items have caught my eye but nothing that I’m ready to pick up yet. It’ll probably be a while before I start looking at changing/adding anything cosmetic. I like the matte mineral blue color and I’m enjoying it while I can. :)

Anything I add cosmetically will likely be accents rather than any real carbon fiber pieces.

BigPoppa,

OK.

My next farkle will be lights( on the A-Arms).
I also like the mineral blue matte finish on mine. I am going to keep mine as original as I can. I am not going to add anymore carbon fiber( Domed Black) to mine.

No riding today, it started raining after our morning walk. We added a handlebar riser and larger brake pedal to the RTL this afternoon. I still can't get over how much room is under the Tupperware on this bike compared to my Honda.

Just got home from the dealer. Had the oil changed after 700+ miles since I didn’t feel comfortable waiting for the 3000 mile break-in to change it. They also installed my Baja Ron ultimate sway bar and end links. Wow! Folks weren’t kidding when they all said to install a beefier sway bar. I know I only had 700+ miles on my OEM sway bar but the difference is like night and day to me. I no longer need to maintain such a light touch on the bars and rough roads don’t send me darting back and forth across the lane.

I did notice the ride seemed a little rougher but I’m guessing that’s because of the stiffer sway bar. I’m not too concerned though since I should be able to adjust the ride quality to my liking once my Elkas arrive (probably the end of September).

Washed and did a spray-on ceramic, installed my Ultimate Tall-Boy seat W/driver’s backrest and BajaRon’s ultra sway bar with Lamonster sway bar end links.

Yup, 4 pressures. Ft tires, rear tire and air suspension connection is under right side of front seat.
Found the cheap TPMS on ebay, of course, for $21 + tax and free shipping.
Probably can be found cheaper.
Damn thing kept beeping until I added the 4th pressure sender, Thanks to someone on this site mentioning about the rear suspension hose extension.

After riding almost three years without one, I finally broke down and installed a windshield, the Rt. 129. I like the look, but would love it tinted. Might look into getting it done. I'll see how it feels tomorrow when I take it for a ride.
