• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Took a ride to see the WWII Warbirds at the Tri Cities Airport. They are all not here yet, but here's a few that were.

Added the LED trunk lights from slingmods. Also added the FOBO 2 sensors (and boy were they a pain). No instructions WHATSOEVER! Took me almost 3 hours. I had to look online to find out that you don't pull the white tab between the battery and device and install them all at once. The only problem I'm having with them now is that I cannot seem to stay connected to them when running the firmware update.

Leaving this morning for a 6 day trip. North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana. Back next Tuesday. About 2000 miles. I'm the only spyder. It's always a great time.

There are excellent instructions right there in the app. The entire owners manual is there. Also the firmware update tells you (on the update page) not to update your firmware if your sensors are working properly. Mine are and the update always fails. So I'm not concerned about it.

I replaced a broken knee panel fake “bent post”, and started my sticker collection!

(BajaRon, I could use one of your stickers too, since I got your ultra bar installed as well! Hint hint)

Removed the side wind deflectors under the mirrors and installed the 3 position wind deflectors. Need a good hot day to check out their effectiveness. Quick and easy install.

Last week after installing the Zumo, the wife and I headed over to SE Ohio for a few days. We went down to the Ohio River, then drove east on Hwy's 52 & 7 as it followed the course of the river. We stayed in eastern Ohio for 3 nights; and spent most of the daylight hours riding some really wonderful and twisty roads. We also crossed over into West Virginia a couple of times as well for some more fun riding. I found that the stock sway bar is indeed quite soft for 2-up riding. The nosedive was significant in those twisties, so I ordered a new one from BajaRon when we got home. It was delivered today, and I got it installed tonight. I'll get the test drive in tomorrow after work. Then we'll be heading to the SE Ohio Spyder Rally in a couple weeks where we'll be able to see what difference the upgrade will have made.

I picked up a 2020 RT Limited a couple of weeks ago. Loved the 2018 but couldn't resist. So far I've changed the oil, wired the bike for heated gear, phone charging and battery tender and luggage rack. Still need to install 3 piece sway bar and a brake flush.

Last Monday I took the front tires over to Firestone (it's the nearest tire shop) to have them balanced. When I picked them up they told me that they did not do a dynamic balance, but were able to get them dialed in statically. I took them home & remounted them then left the bike parked until yesterday when I took it out for a test ride. The new sway bar made a massive improvement in turns and corners, but the tire balance was still off. After returning home, I took them off and returned them to Firestone and told them to perform the full dynamic balance. Later, when I picked them up I expected to see some lead weights added to the inner and outer rim edges but instead found that they'd removed the existing square adhesive mounted weights and applied more of the same in their attempt to balance the tires. Test rode again and the balance is still off, showing up at 60 mph & higher. There's no way it can be driven at highway speeds right now. I'll have to find a shop that can get them right, its apparent that this shop cannot. Is anyone using lead weights anymore??

I find that the heat in this area heats the adhesive and the weights move around or in my case flew off.
When I 1st got my F3S it had a bad vibration in the front. After the dealership changed them out 3 times, they finally got it close. In doing so however they scratched the inside of the wheels pretty bad. They actually scraped through the black powder coat so much so, the you can see the silver of the aluminum wheel . Totally un-sat.
I've got vibration again.
Tuesday I have an appointment to get 3 quadtracs installed and balanced at BajaRon's.

I'd love to live close enough to do this as well!.
I have no idea where this can be done in SE Ohio.

Yessir, I'm lucky to live close to his shop.
Ya know last time I was there getting the Pedal box, I met a guy on a Spyder that had just rode down from Ohio that morning.
