• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Replaced the fog light switch.
The original unit failed while I was replacing the gas cap. Go figure...

Took off the muffler so its ready for Wednesday when I get a delivery. I had finally ordered my Crusher exhaust from RLS, shortly after some guy in Canada ordered 25 of them though, so it was a little longer then I hoped to get it. Unfortunate thing is I leave Thursday for Rocklahoma so I won't have much of a chance to enjoy it till after Labor Day.

Upgrade the factory non-matching chrome BRP emblems on my Black and Gold Anniversary Edition, thanks to BobL's leading!
BobL turned me on to https://www.motordog69.com/ for these BRP challenge coin mount that fits where the chrome BRP emblems are. After 20 years in the USAF we have a collection of challenge coins that we can swap in and out of these mounts.

Flushed the brake fluid out of the system, with new Dot 4. Also the vent line I had routed from the gas tank to the back of the frame, was leaving a oily like film on the cover that's above the back wheel and seeping down the rear shock, I had to add enough hose to route it all the way down to the bottom of the rear shock mount. Now the Damn thing can just leak on the ground. I have no idea why that stuff is coming out of the fuel tank vent line. I do not top off the tank. Followed the instructions to a T, posted by those in the know about this.

Got the bike ready for a quick trip on Saturday.
Going to accompany a former member on his final (very short) ride
before he enters hospice.

Finally finished my Anniversary Edition Trunk project, as mentioned earlier, I had to get rid of the Chrome accent BRP logo on the trunk lid, and Thanks to BOBL I think i have a one of a kind rear emblem mount and look. And I wanted to add the High Mount Taillight / Brake light /Turn signals and seems they only come in ..... chrome :cus: So with some help from the ScratchesHappen folks, I now have this trunk lid
Trunk Emblem and HMT Taillight.jpg
Oh and WrapMySpyder folks helped me with some new nose art

Put on foam grip covers and a cramp buster that were gifts from Haze (David) a post or two above. Thanks again, David.

Power cable

Also got a new phone that used a "c" type charging cable. So, I had to run a new charging cable from the trunk 12v source to the front of the :spyder2:. Sena SMH5 Bluetooths to phone, Garmin 660, and passenger. All seems to work just fine.

Bolted a bunch of Lamonster Garage stuff on my trike. Floor board risers and highway pegs. Even at 6 ft I like my feet nice and high, I believe that comes from all the years of riding moto X and crotch rockets, I even modded my Harley Road Glide so the floorboards rode 3.5 inches higher than what the factory gave you.
Tomorrow, I'll bolt on the handlebar riser, but I now know I screwed the pooch by not ordering the GPS mount, so now I'll have to spend extra $$$$$
