Thanks. I did figure out after you posted that I had incorrectly used one of the alarm wires... I hooked the blue to the 12v switched instead of the brown one from the alarm. :banghead::banghead::banghead: Now it can tell when I turn the key. No idea what that blue wire is for based on the wire diagram. Might have to do a Spyder specific one once I get all this figured out. 
Posi-Tap are impossible to find locally so I used the typical scotch lock. The wires in the Spyder and on the alarm are about 1 size too small so the connection on the lights isn't holding. I will have to "massage" it, but will probably end up ordering the Posi-Taps. Wish they were cheaper, but I bet they will work way better.
Otherwise, the alarm looks good so far.
