• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT Reverse Curve Windshiels???

Does any one make a windshield with a reverse curve on the top to push the air up and over the rider. Would also like it to have cut outs like the factory windshields. My bike is a 2012 RTS. My current windshield is 25in stock and its to tall as I can't see over it.

Try a Laminar Lip, they work great Google it

I had my windshield cut down on my Honda because it was too tall. I took it to a local glass shop and they did it. Much cheaper than buying a new one.

Calsci

Try Calsci.com. They can custom fit you, with vents, tint, etc. everybody is a bit different, so custom makes sense. Joe

OP = Original Poster, that will be you.

F4 Customs

F4 Customs makes shields for the F3 and the RT. We do not make the re-curve as we don't like distortions in our shield. Since our shields are made from High Optics Poly carbonate and also shed rain they are great to see through. Keep in mind that we also make a short 22" and a 25" both in standard width and 2.5" wider than stock.

I had a Windbender from Firecreek on my Goldwing and loved it, unfortunately I checked their web site and they don't make one for Spyders as of yet.

If you have a plastics shop, take it by and see if they can do it for you. I have one here that has a heat strip set up and he can "bend/adjust" almost anything.

Turblence and buffetting

I've found ( in 50 years of riding) that a "reverse lip " dosent work to throw the air over the rider. Just causes trublence and helmet buffetting. I hate to look through a windshild, but I I do have a large Clearview shield for my Valkyire and is is still air behind it at any speed. ( The Goldwing vent really works).

:D And still air; prevents...

I don't want to be argumentative but In my experience on my Goldwing the lip on my Windbender routed all of the air and all but the biggest bugs over the top of my helmet while still letting me look over the top of my windshield with litte if any buffeting. (Other bikes and/or your results may very)

I just contacted Firecreek who said they will be looking into offering a Spyder windshield sometime in the future.

If I get any more info I will share it.
