Yesterday I had the chance to ride a 2025 Spyder RTL as a "loaner" while my bike was being worked on. My general opinion is that I like the changes made from what I have with my 2021 RT, but not enough to trade up to a new one at a cost of several thousand dollars at least. The main thing I liked is the much larger LCD screen and the data displayed. I especially like the large digital display of what gear I am in. Some of the display, however, seems less than useful, like the "Duration" measure showing how many hours the current trip was taking. I also like the simpler process of enabling the Reverse gear and then returning to the forward gears. The start up process seemed a bit strange, but not a problem.
Another thing that I liked is that Can Am has seemed to have solved the "whining" noise that my RT gets when between about 45 and 50 mph. Its not a big deal but it is annoying on my RT, and I did not notice this sound on the 2025 that I was riding. And it might have been my imagination but the seat on the 2025 felt more comfortable than the stock seat on my 2021. I use a BeadRider seat cover on my bike, which I am very happy with, but the seat on the 2025 felt that I would not need any sort of seat cover at all.
So overall, I like the 2025, but it is not enough improved over my 2021 for me to justify buying the newer bike, at least right now.
