• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

riding when its hot

Good morning, I've noticed that when it is very hot out (heat index over 100) and we stop briefly when I go to start it it needs to crank for a bit to start, is this normal. Once it starts it's fine. Very hot here in ChiTown and we will be ridin again today. Thanks, Mike

It's a function of the fuel injection system.
Hotter air is less dense, so it requires less fuel for the proper mixture...

But less fuel; means tougher starting! :banghead:

Thanks, as long as it's starting

When you stop, so does the radiator air flow.

Everything inside the body work gets "heat soaked" and that includes the intake air for a few strokes.
Less fuel plus hotter intake air equals a tendency not to fire off right away.

BUT.....this also can be a sign of a battery getting weak.
If yours is the original, you might want to get it tested.......or replaced.
