• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 21 RTL and was just coming back from Sturgis last year. It was hot and when we got to Denver there was stop and go traffic. When I came to a light the bike just shut down. No warning, no codes, it just stopped. I had to push it over to the side of the road and not freak out. I let it sit for a minute or two and then it started right up. The same thing happened a couple of weeks later. Hot day, stop and go traffic and come to a stop light and it just died, no warning and no codes. I let it sit for a minute and it fired right up. I took it to the dealer and the tech thought it might be a smog device so we took it out. No problems until Saturday and it happened again. My question is there some kind of heat sensor that might be causing the problem? I am all out of ideas.

Did the dealer check to see if the fans were operating properly. Let it run until the fans come on, and then check them to see which direction the fans were moving the air through the radiators?

You can easily check that yourself, but if the dealer was supposed to find the problem, they should have checked.

Very well, there should have been a message on the dash & a code that the dealer “should” have seen. My 998 did the same a couple times when the dash read 107°F, but the ambient was only high 90°s, and it did have a message & codes. The Water pump did fail shortly after. It's an Error not flushing/replacing the coolant at the 2yr mark. It was full, just old & watered down.
