We dodged another bullet. A tornado watch was up most of the day for ours and surrounding counties. One county (searcy), next to us, in our area came under a tornado warning.

There was an actual tornado in Knoxville, AR (about 50 miles SW of us). Had that one fired up...we were right in its path (usually North Easterly) travel direction.

We had a heck of a t-storm for about 5 minutes that went through. It was a part of the same front.

Today, temps hovering in the mid thirties.

Here in VT it is raining and the wind is blowing. They have flood watches out from tonight until Tuesday morning for all of Vermont.

The temps this week will be in the 30's to 40's and then at the end of the week there may be a potential storm consisting of a mix of rain and snow that will arrive on Saturday. Then on Sunday the skies will be partly sunny. Weekend temps in the 30's.

(off topic - The snowmobile trails are shut down due to the lack of snow base in Vermont).

:coffee:...Hey Deanna777, maybe the snow showers here in Good Ole Indiana will bring 5" to 8" to VT. Anyhow always hoping for the Best For Everyone. Currently a chilly 33' F here in Indiana, clear sky, with a little of the moon shining. Makes for a beautiful early morning.

Well so much for the funny stuff and now on with my local weather news. ............ My weather people are saying tomorrow is the Day to 'watch out'. Yes, get this ............ SNOW.....:gaah: ........ . .............. :ohyea:.........................Still only 11 Days till Spring is what they are saying.
Today 41'F with clouds, low 28'F and Snow tomorrow.

Enjoy Today and Don't Worry about Tomorrow. .......

All the coastal areas of our Ozzie Eastern States are still being drowned by flooding rains; there's more water in the 'Dead Centre' than there's been for decades (if not centuries) Lake Eyre is filling & the whole place has come alive with wildlife, migratory (sea) birds, & wildflowers (where it's not flooded!); the Far North West is still hunkering down under regular bouts of thunderstorms &/or cyclones; and after some flooding rains & milder weather here over the last week in the Adelaide Hills of South Oz, they're forecasting a return to mid/high 30's °C next week..... so our weather's all over the place too!

But we haven't had the devastating floods the East Coast has seen, and despite the rapid & heavy regrowth of all the scrubby undergrowth that burns so well, it's been too wet for much in the way of fires in the Hills this Bushfire Season, so you gotta count your blessings as & when they come! Me, I'm still looking down on the daisies & not pushing 'em up, AND I get to ryde most days too, so every day is a blessing & a bonus! :ohyea:

:chat:...Today the Sun is shining with clear skies, currently 45°F. Going to do some errands and enjoy the day.

High of 47°F with sunshine. Low 28°F.

Have a Blessed Day. ....

They are forecasting a winter storm coming in Friday night and into Saturday morning. They are saying we will get 8-12" of new snow for most of us by Sunday morning, with 12-15" possible in the higher elevations into Northeast Kingdom( near the Canadian Border) and in the Adrondacks of New York.

Then after that we will get an Artic cold blast . The wind chills by Sunday morning will be in the teens BELOW zero! :yikes:

Then next week the temps in the 40's, this winter has been a roller coaster ride with the weather.

Sunny and cool here in the desert S.W. We had a few scattered clouds yesterday. No clouds at all today. The high will only get to 70. By next week we will get back to normal with highs in the high 70s to mid-80s. Stay safe..... Jim

We got the light snow today as advertised. Enough to turn the grass from green to 3/4 white snow cover. 40's tomorrow and 60's on Sunday. Guess I can put up with another day of snow.

Our most recent sled trip weather (Pittsburg, NH). Started with mud on the ground, warm. Then a foot of heavy wet snow and wind. Then it turned cold and now hear they are due for a warm up. Crazy !

Monday 3/14/22

:coffee: Welcome to the Monday morning reply, currently 39°F. The Daylight Savings Time is a big joke if you want my help. Now that I got that of my chest, on with my local weather news.

First off we have zero snow on the ground. The yard is still wet from all the rain/snow of last week. Finally the roads are safe and salt free. .......:ohyea:
Maybe get some ryde time today.. .....

High today 61°F with sunshine, low 43°F.

Have yourself a Sunshine Day. .....

Today it will get to 82 here in the desert S.W. Winds are light and there are no clouds. By mid-week we will get to the high 80s before cooling down to low 80s for next weekend. Will get a little pool time in between rides.

Most of the homes here have fruit trees and the fruit is now "ripe". Our community donates excess fruit to the local food bank. We have bins set up outside the Administration building. They are 4 feet by 4 feet square and 4 feet deep. There is a bin for grapefruit, one for lemons, and another for oranges. Yesterday they were all full.

Stay safe..... Jim
