• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have been riding for 20 plus years, dirt bikes, ATV's and Harley's, bought my spyder last year and love it. Husband has been riding since he was about 3 on snowmachines, dirt bikes, atvs, sport bikes etc so about 25 plus years. He rides a Harley right now, but funny enough loves to take my spyder. I have not yet converted him over to getting a spyder, but give it time lol. He too shall be converted :doorag:

40 years, 35 bikes... Rode the Spyder in 2008 and thought if they ever come out with a touring model I would be interested. I purchased a 2012 RT Limited, only 1600 miles but I am enjoying it more every ride.

How long

You stopped sort of short in your poll. Where are the categories for 30, 40, or 50 years? ;)

I've been riding on the street for over 50...and I have a long way to go to catch a few of our more seasoned members.
:agree: with Scotty. I got my first bike, a 1949 Indian Scout, in 1964. I needed some money and sold it for $125. I wonder what it would be worth today?:(

I began I think was 1945 or 1946.. As you all know I have senior moments to take into account.. My math is bad too.. soooo I'll just say it has been a long ryde.

However, my 1st ride.. Guess it's year and what it is and I'll buy you a cup of coffee when I see you... However, I want you to know the picture is not mine but I had one just like it.

New to the lifestyle :doorag:. Never rode a bike before. It was on my bucket list until I saw the spyder , so replaced bike with spyder on bucket list and thanks to my wife :firstplace:it happened !! Checked off of bucket list.

let's see almost 7 years now. 2 1/2 of them on my spyder with far more mileage than I ever had on either of the two wheelers I had/have.

Rode for 2 years. Stopped riding for 10 years, and then that darn Cam Am commercial started, and I was hooked. One year on my :spyder2:

My first bike:yes::yes: I, too, had a motorcycle at the top of my bucket list. Couldn't have made a better choice. Bought a new Corvette in 2005. That

$55,000 car never brought me the joy this $16,000.00 bike has:bowdown: Purchased my bike last June(2011) and I have never regretted it :ohyea::ohyea: Once I was

bitten by the :f_spider:, there has been no antidote:yes::yes:. She is about to roll over 5000 miles, and I am still :):):).

When I was 14 I talked my Dad into buying me an old junk Barnett that was mostly in boxes.....two days later I had it together, running and tearing up and down the driveway. Still remember the 'discussion' my parents had....
Mom- "Phil, why did you buy Danny a motorcycle.....have you lost your mind?" :gaah:

Dad- "Jeez Rita, I never thought he'd get it running!" :opps:

That was 53 years ago and I've been riding on 2 wheels ever since. Got the GS Nov. '11 and love it but still have a 2 wheeler....probly always will.
