• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Hi Guys!
Sooooo... I think I'm trying to figure out if the Spyder Roadster is bringing new riders into our sport...Or is it a Lifestyle?? :dontknow:
How many of us are just getting started and how many of us have moved over from other motorcycles to these?
I've been gathering up street experience for a bit over thirty-five years, but rode the dirt since early childhood... Motors and handlebars just seem so right when they're put together!

You stopped sort of short in your poll. Where are the categories for 30, 40, or 50 years? ;)

I've been riding on the street for over 50...and I have a long way to go to catch a few of our more seasoned members.

...First time I've ever even thought about designing a poll... :opps:
I wanted to see how many of us were completely new, had maybe a little experience, some REAL wheel-time, and then those of us who have spent our lives immersed in this pasttime...

YEARS IN THE SADDLE ?

Scotty's right.....Again....since the vast majority of Spyder owner's (in the most recent poll ) were over 50 you should re-do and start over with higher numbers ...IMHO.......Mike.....

Hey Bob great poll, I have not been on a bike in over 20 years until last year when I got my rt limited. In 1998 I was in a accident on a drilling rig here at home and 6 operations later to fix my broken back biking was out of the question. When I saw the Spyder at the Motorcycle show I was in the dealer and bought the bike on the spot. I did ride but that was years ago its good to be back riding you have no idea:yes::yes::yes:

Well...the last time I was on a two wheeler with a motor was when I was a teenager...48 now and a year on the spyder..Many miles on a 4 wheeler and snowmobile, but thats not street rydin

Good poll bob:thumbup:

I agree. I had a home built and a Whizzer in 1947. Assorted over the years, including the most powerful machine ever built, Harley Hummer.

Never had a street bike, I was smart enough to know I might get myself into a lot of trouble with one. However, growing up on/near multiple farms, I've had my fair share of ripping through the fields on dirt bikes, 3 wheelers, quads, snowmobiles. So I guess my poll vote has to be...new to this.
On a side note, the wife is in NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM a RISK TAKER(heck, she works in insurance) and she has taken right to the Spyder. I'll go out on a limb and say its bringing more people to the market. Thanks for letting us in!

The spyder is my first ryde, and I've had it almost a year. I rode on my husbands (2 up) befor the kids and now that he is back on 2 wheels I decided I wanted my own bike. But after a trip to the ER trying to learn on 2 wheels decided 3 wheels is the way to go.

1st Bike Ever..........

This will be my first bike ever. Waiting for my RS to arrive from FL so I can begin the journey.
