• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Years riding????

I started approx 1961 on an old H-D (kick start) Let's see I think that makes ------ years. What were we talking about??

Wow, I think it started back in 65?

?? Honda 50

65 Yamaha Twin 100

68 Honda 305 Super Hawk

69 Triumph Bonneville

73 (AMF) HD Sportster XLCH, I did not have the extra $100 for the eclectic starter then but sold the bike three years later to covered my down payment and settlement cost for our new home when Lynipoo and I married. Those were the “good old days” when you could buy a new HD ride for a couple of years and sell it for more than the $1900.00 I paid for it.

25 year break for family and career, I had 3 Corvettes during that time so it's not like I didn't have any toys.

In 2001 my then 17 year old youngest son and a old friend who I still ride with today convinced me it was time to get back in the saddle so what better than a 01 HD Roadking Classic to get my grove back on?

In late 04 I was looking for something different when I found a almost new 05 BMW-LT, boy I loved that bike and not to mention the hundreds of dollars I was saving every year not buying HD tee-shirts any more, but with two bad knees I knew I had to make a change if I wanted to keep riding so last November I made the switch and now I’m the owner of a 12 Limited and enjoying every mile.

Now that I'm retired I'm looking forward to seeing as much of this great country as I can, even checking out our friends north of the boarder on my :f_spider:

1st 2 wheelers at 14 in -69 (Honda PS50, 3 speeds... Still have one!),., so it makes 42 years... I feel old suddenly!

I guess I would fall under the "New To This", but I did ride some 2 wheelers in my teens, quads and seadoos in my later years. Never to old to have some fun and that is what the SpYder is "FUN"!!!!!!!!
