• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sold by Ken on this site.

ISCI makes a mount for the bars for the ram balls.

Kewlmetal makes a mount for the Garmin zumo and maybe it could be adapted to fit the ram mount you have for your Garmin

I used a ram mount on top of the clutch lever cylinder when I had the radar detector there.

So, did you get the issue resolved? If you posted it, I missed it. I am guessing it was just the new battery that was not charged enough.

Forrest, you need to look at the cupholder mount that Dave has on his beside the mirror. He said it was part of a camera mount system from BestBuy and then he modified one of Ken's rider grip holders

Thank you,,, I shall.

Two Ram mount solutions - (1) if you have a SM, the bar mount will fit on the reservoir, or (2) on the SE, or SM, I used the Kwelmetal mount for my 550 GPS, and the Ram bar mount fits perfectly UNDER the top of the mount - getting in the way of nothing.

Maybe a dumb question - - - how do you power the gps?

The cup holder from Ken works great and it's inexpensive.

Please disregard. They DO NOT WORK. The diameter is too small for the bolt.

MY SO hates the "My Cupholder" - unless it's on a long trip, and it really doesn't work for me - I like coffee in the morning, and ice water the rest of the day. I have a great metal cup, with a lid and straw that is the perfect solution for me.

BTW, there's a post on the forum that shows the pin-out for the CanAm GPS plug. I used the stock 550 cord, and put pins on the end for that plug - insulated with liquid rubber, then sealed with RTV. Works a treat & won't come loose or degrade - until I want it to.

Radar Detector

Forrest, I can highly recommend the Adaptive Technologies TPS Radar/Laser detector. http://www.adaptivtechnologies.com/gear/tpx-radar-detector

I have had mine for several months. It saved my tail numerous times on our recent 5000 mile ride including SITS and Lamonster's BBQ.

You can see that it is specifically designed for motorcycle applications. Waterproof, sandwich bag covering not required, large buttons for easily using a gloved hand. It has an extremely unique feature...they call it a visual alerting system. A very bright LED light that can be mounted anywhere that works for you..Believe me it will get your attention.. The visual alert works so well that I didn't wire the audio alert into my Spyder's sound system. Take a look the information on their website.

I have attached pictures of my installation and you will get the idea. Again I can personally vouch for the quality and accuracy of this radar/laser detector... Happy cruising.... Len
