• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone else starting to get excited or impatient for the 2011's?

Last year my RTS arrived just before Christmas, and I picked it up just after Christmas. Maybe this year will be the same? I wonder how the red will look against the snow in my "Welcome Home" pic? :D I guess I had better keep the enclosed trailer shoveled out again.

New guy here

Been reading your posts for a few months since i got interested in the spyder, got my wife talked into it and have been waiting patiently
for the 2011 rt's. I want to see the new red before i sign on the line. I hope to meet a lot of you folks at some events or on the road. I live in Marietta, Ga

I'd say you've won 90% of the battle. Since you have her talked into it, don't wait, but instead go ahead and pull the trigger. You won't be sorry. I wish you many happy spyder miles, and I hope you'll be as pleased with yours as I am mine.

My dealer in Lake Havasu told me today that they expect to start getting the first of the 2011's around the first of the year. However, the Pearl white is not expected until March or April. He has 7 people wanting to put down deposits on a white one but cannot because he does not know how many he will get.

Getting excited about the 2011's? Not really... I'm still excited about my 2008 SE5!

Has anyone seen the the new RT Red in person yet? Any real pics (Not computer generated stuff like on the Can Am site):dontknow::popcorn:

welcome and :congrats: on winning the first battle! That red is almost nice enough to make my Blue one become trade bait...

Wow how did I miss that :opps:. Thank you!!! I notice the lighting is really bright and make it look Viper Red... Not bad at all!

I have a 2011 RT-Limited in Pearl White ordered since October. Yes I am getting anxious!!! I was given a delivery date at the beginning of May. My dealer told me the RT-Limited will be the last ones produced and only in April. :2excited:

BTW Havasu Rider, I was told ( by a reliable source) that dealers are allowed 1 RT-LIMITED for every 10 Spyders they sold last year. My dealer had 15 RT-LIMITED to sell (deposit only) on November 1st. (He sold 155 Spyders last year). :chat:

Ordered mine yesterday. Red 2011 rts se 5. They sold a magnesium 2011 rt yesterday and had a 2011 blue rt in the crate that they would have put together. But I am hooked on red. I have a red rs spyder se5 now, 2009. I love my rs but when they came out with rt having rode gold wings for 20 years, I knew it was a matter or time before I would have to get an rt. They told me it is on the way.:2excited:

I'm hoping to get a new RT SE5 this summer. Anyone know how long the average delivery time time is in Or. and Wa.? If I ordered in June would I have it in Sept. for Lamonster's BBQ?

Delivery time meaning they have it in stock or are waiting for stock to come in?

Delivery can be the same day you purchase it if in stock... If it is not in stock that is BRP dependent... But from what you are saying most dealers will have most models in stock when you are ready to buy :2thumbs:...

I will say this... Most of the dealers in WA and OR that are still selling BRP today are rock solid and will treat you quite well. Our new RS-S was delivered with zero issues and a detailed delivery walk through. Even learned a thing or two I might not have normally

One thing to ask them... Not sure if this still holds true or not... But for a time BRP required the dealers to drive the RT's for 15 miles to make sure that no issues presented themselves. So if it has 1 mile on it, they may need to add 14 more and that could delay your delivery (Again, if that is still a requirement...)

Lamont's BBQ is going to be in June this year, coinciding with the BRP owners event. So, if you are able to, you may want to put that order in quite a bit earlier. Best of luck!

I ordered a Red RT-S SE5 January 24. My dealer said 2-6 weeks, maybe longer, but she never really knows when BRP will ship her Spyders. She is getting one White one and it is sold.

I do not know where in Canada the Spyder is built, but I live just off of IH10W, 25 miles northwest of San Antonio. Once in a while, out on IH10, I will see a flatbed go by with 12 or 16 (maybe more) crates marked Can-Am.
