About a month ago Lamonster put up a map of the SpyderLovers FB page showing a looped route from Nashville, TN west then north and then east. At various points on the map were listed the sites of at least 16 National Parks.
The map sketches a trip that has been organized by Country Roads Group Riding – a group in central TN which rides almost every weekend. Most are short, local rides but a few involve long-distance efforts. The group just finished a Natchez Trace ride and will ride the whole month of July in the West. Their site page is here:

The specifics of the month-long ride are here:

I have never seen the western parks and, at my age, am highly unlikely to drive out there to see them. But, I jumped at the chance to ride my Spyder with a small (8 – 10 persons) group in this “once in a lifetime” opportunity.
So, on July 5[SUP]th[/SUP] I will be riding south to meet the group at 7AM on July 7[SUP]th[/SUP] to begin the adventure. We return to Nashville on August 5[SUP]th[/SUP].
My Spyder will be the only one in the group which, I’m told, will be made up of heavy crusiers. I’ve been preparing for this ride for months; indeed, SpyderFest was a sort of “dry-run”.
If there is any interest here, I will post periodic reports.
Here’s the map.
