If you're interested in a NE Ohio group to join that has monthly (April to September) rides which are well organized have a look at this FB group:

Our rides are typically 1-2 hours long and include stop for a bite to eat and also ice-cream. The FB group is ‘private,’ so just visit the link above and ask to join.
On FB site’s “Discussion” section, there are many more rides posted by other members. It’s well worth a look.
Bill, the ride captain, is a stand-up guy. His monthly rides typically are large (100+ riders), and we have a few Can-Am riders (including me). It is also a fabulous place to meet other riders with like-minded interests. Hope to see some of you guys at next year’s riding season. If you plan on joining any of the rides, please make sure to seek me out and introduce yourself. I will be riding my black 2014 RT.
