• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

12 v power outlet

Hello SpyderLovers,

We have a 2014 RT-s and just finished a 1200 mile trip. All went great except our Garmin battery ran out mid day trying to get from Bishop,ca to Solang, Ca.

There is a round "cover" on the left hand side of the passinger arm rest area.

Can this be used for a 12 volt outlet??

I know there is one close in the back trunk but my wife wants one where the "cover" is. One on the dash isnt suitable for us.

Has anyone put a 12v outlet here???

yes you can do that or there is a button on the console right above the glove box (where the buttons are .. parking brake, heated grips, etc ....)that could be used. the easiest thing would be to add one somewhere on the dash (you get to drill) or if you are not using one of the two gages on the dash, it could be removed and you could add a USB using a kit from JT. He is a sight sponsor on here and has some great stuff.

i've seen some that took the speaker grill out and drilled it out to hold their adapter. I think that grill is about $8 so if you screw it up, you are not out that much money.
